No luck will be needed. This is going to be crated by the pro's.

Shipping box will be constructed to fit. Cascade will be raised and bolted down so the wheels are off the floor, then rigged in place so it will not move.

Next it will be shrink wrapped and then covered by this Blue Heat Sealed Wrap.
Then crate walls will go up and the insides will be fully packed with padded foam inserts.

Kal promissed he would photo the full unpacking <hint, hint> Kal ;)

how much is it going to cost for shipping ?

Neuromancer 02-24-2010 12:07 PM

1 million dollars!!!!!

Buckeye 02-24-2010 12:11 PM

Bills not playing around with any chance of this getting damaged.

All builders should do something along these lines, there is only some extra steps involved here.

It would save so many broken units getting delivered to people.

Bills new saying... "There is only one way, the right way" LOL :)

way to go pro Buck, I've been on the bad side of a few SS shipments.

Neuromancer 02-24-2010 12:17 PM

Yeah if the unit already weighs 100 pounds... there is no reason not to go with a wood crate for shipping...

(100 pounds is usually the difference between package and freight costs)

na dude. My SS weighed 64lbs and if it had a crate it would have survived. These things are delicate.
