The catalyst control center?

Splave 02-24-2010 07:14 AM

try afterburner, Rivatuner (extend the limits in power user), AMD gpu tool maybe?

This works in 1.4 not sure about 1.5

To unlock unoffical clocks in the Programsfiles/msi afterburner/msiafterburner.cfg
Open with note pad, scroll to the bottom and change unofficial clocks to 1 and it works

Idk if it works with the 4850 but with the 5870 this works.

1. Open Afterburner and set max clocks.
2. Close Afterburner. dont just minimize it, X it out.
3. reopen Afterburner and the sky is the limit.

^indeed a very handy trick

GFDuke 02-24-2010 07:41 AM

I forgot to mention that you still have to change the cfg file using notepad first like Witchy said.

Neuromancer 02-24-2010 07:58 AM

Yup or BIOS mod it, you can set max voltage that way also.

GPUz to pull BIOS RBE to edit it, and i just used atiwinflash to put it back.
