Thats a lightning right.. .did you have to use a magnum? Or just a standard trojan XL? Glad you got the hook up homey. You know my PM ;) |

Very nice, did you leave the big silver heatsink attached or remove it? It's gonna take alot of eraser to do that to 3 cards. :Dizzy: |
Hey gunslinger, I would take if off. I left it on it sweat like crazy on the metal, condensation magnet.

Beautiful prep and awesome clocks!
I cant wait to see this with a 980x pushing it ... and I wanna see 1475!!! I wonder if you are on to something with the 762 vs 760 for GT ... I wanted a new board anyway maybe I should test out the theory :D |
wow!!!!!simply mind blowing, now all it needs is some gulftown love....

Thanks doods! Here is a shot of what the card would do with a 980x in front of it, but limited only to 1350 by the lack of ABe. BTW I sent that chip back because of the horrible cb @-112c,...new gulf shortly, and 29.5k:shock:
Attachment 1933 Also I have included a couple more pics of the lightning all dressed out in frostking. I never have to remove the pot after sessions, just let her dry out for a couple of hours. I would highly recommend it to anyone who is planning on benching high performance 5870's to prep to this extreme,...simply because they need to hover around -130c for long periods of time. Attachment 1934 Attachment 1935 One more thing for the lightning guys, not pictured is the eraser covered cap and plug on either side of the pot, up at the top of the card. Be sure to cover these as they frost up bad even under frostking. GL bros and let me know if I can help. |
was going to start a thread Splave kills lightning, the weekend just got a little less fun.
I guess I killed it somehow, only ran on ln2 once ftl. |
Damn bad news homie. :(
