Bill, I know you (and most if not all my team mates) have more overclocking knowledge and skill than I do.

My skills are limited to buying, blasting, and killing hardware while crossing my fingers in hopes of getting lucky.

Guys like you are writing reviews and publicly answering on the spot questions I don't even understand. Makes me happy to root from the cave at home.

Tear it up!

As the new guy this year it'll certainly be interesting. A little disappointed to see the lack of 3D benches making it unnecessary to run multi-container setups and the SC based memory but what can you do.

All I did to get invited was pretty much just ask...

At the time (late May IIRC) I had absolutely no relationship with Giga and had never spoken to anyone there before. Just fired off an email to the marketing email on their site asking for info on the NA event and asking to be considered if invites hadn't been determined yet. After that things worked out from there and I got invited and had a chance to review the UD9.

Looking forward to meeting new people there, just look for the young one , it'll probably be me.

How old are ya dude? There's a chance I'm younger :P

Good luck buddy and gratz on the acquisition of the invite ;)

But like I have said on another post, I have no idea on who or how they invite people. I do know Titan had to step down for persional reasons and work stuff. Thats where the new guy came in I believe. Everyone else is the same as last year and we all heard the same comments about how last year was run.

I have no feaking clue how I was invited to last years, or even this years. I am also sorry that a large number of other people who are not only better OCer than me, but more worthy.

I also know that I have put in a ton of actual work building the relationship with Giga that I have and hope to continue having.

Having my good friend Shannon there at the event was a huge plus to me, plus many of the other friends I made durning and after that event, encluding the people at 411 which I was a member at the time all had good things to say.

What do you expect me to do? bow out of the competition and have none of us there ? plus possibly ruin my own support I have at Giga. I can't send someone in my place.

Bottom line is, something I did, something I know, someone I know, and probably a combination of all the aforementioned has gotten me to the competition last year and this year.

I am also pretty freaking happy to look at the guess a winner page and see 177 votes for me, not that that matters a whole heck of a lot, excpet that I do have some supporters out there I guess, someplace.

Its also very exciting to see other members here in other comps and doing very well, how ever they got to the comps. Good work and job well done guys and I truely hope all of you guys can experiance this your self someday, and other will go on to being tops in what they do.

Thats about all I have to say on this and will stay out of further posts, because it just feels like people need to vent instead of support.

Good luck all

Chillax old one, a good number of those votes for your booty came from right here, including my vote, so its not like anybody here doesnt support you personally or is hating on you specifically. The collective hate originates from the selection process not having anything to do with overclocking ability. Enjoy it, we support you, have fun, thats all you should be worried about. Haters gonna hate. Gratz on your successful acquisition of Gigabytes support.

Deux your gonna rock man, dont worry about it :)
Really looking forward to meeting you man

Main reason I see for no 3D this year is it saves time for prepping. We only have a limited amount of time to do anything there. Last year I saw guys waste all there time with the GPU stuff and mess it all up. Crap my stock air cooled gpu beat most of them.

As prolly the oldest there LOL I can gice you a little advise. Sit back and watch all teh jack fruits get freaking dunk at the dinner and be fools, and hung over the next day. Be very greatful to the hosts, be a gental man to them. Show a little class and you will be noticed by Giga.

Come bench time, ignore everyone else, fucus on your game. You will have a 2 hour bench time to run 2 benches, break, then another 2 hour bench time for 2 more benches.

Get scores up !

While others think they have no shot unless they are running at 6.0ghz+ and screw themselves, a 5.7ghz run can take the cake. This is not benching at home, but a fast paced shot to kill event. If you dont get scores up you cant win.

This is one of the most fair and balanced comps to be in, all setups are the same.

Enjoy it and have fun :)

THIS IS IT BILL! You go and get them! We are all upset about the selection process and not about who is going. If you going as OCA we feel like we ALL going. Over!
