Either that, or we all buy the top of the line hardware, and ship it off to whoever is hottest on the team at the moment. That one person could bin CPUs and GPUs and grab all the points. Then we would all get our original stuff back and put it up for sale :D

How many manufacturers just started teams anyway? I know ASUS just did...

This looks like a way to milk them for money and in return put them atop the bot with ease.

I say it here too... 3 months after rev 4 is instituted number of teams will jump 4-5X.

im rather shocked and dismayed over this whole scenario. im not at all sure what their objective is and how this revision will bring them close to that objective. if rev4 goes ahead like this, and im dead serious, we need to organize another online competition site

I think that creating a less convoluted sanctioning body is definitely in order.
