At MD I have been saying that way before I knew who beck was. I have a love/hate thing going on with that guy too. Travis you said it man. Old Ronald was da bomb. They just don't make them like that anymore. |
I am cool with a no-politics rule. Definitely no religion, I will go all Gnostic on your asses :P
heh heh Doesn't bother me either way though. |

Saw a bumper sticker today that had a picture of Oblah-blah on it and it said "It takes a Carter to get a Regan. There, I found my silver lining." I peed a little. |

LOL jk (its how I roll ;) ) I love theological discussions. Problem is it is a big business and has been for centuries, so people get really emotional about it. Has nothing to do with spirituality. Spiritual people do not start wars. Business people and those that feel they might be wrong do. Just saying. TBH though I have not seen any political discussion on this forum so no need to ban it. |
Yep, I would absolutely prefer Bush.
My only problems with Bush were that he was a lousy public speaker, and that he spent way too much of our money after saying he wouldn't. He was the target of a very effective character assassination campaign. Blows my mind how he got so demonized. Carter wasn't even so bad. He just lacked the balls to deal with the Iran hostage affair. And paid dearly for it. Had a love/hate relationship with Reagan that's turned into a bit more respect as I've matured. Bush senior cruised into office as a placeholder with nothing to offer. Voted for Clinton his first term, then gradually learned to despise him. Not the worst president we've ever had. But he was basically a Carter with enough narcissism to give him balls. I only have one problem with Obama, but it's a whopper that trumps any other gripe I've ever had with a president. His overwhelming desire to turn us into a nanny state and thereby crush any independent spirit to succeed. He does it openly and doesn't mince words or intent. The problem is that he IS a good public speaker and has enough charisma to force it down our throats and tell us it's for our own good. |
First off, damned straight I'd rather have Bush over B Hussein Obama, Thank god we had bush when 9/11 hit - Obama would still be trying to get Al Quida to sit down for negotiations, after apologizing of course
And I'm with Nip - we NEED Ronnie Back. I had high hopes for Fred Thomas, but, Ronnie was a friend of mine and Fred Thomas is no Ronald Reagan McCain sucked too, but jeeezzz, how fucking obvious could Obama have been to be a commie socialist. Dame shame truth is McCain might not have been any better :Dizzy: |
less politics more benching
