Mm, this is for my daily though, all internal, so that's not really plausible :p
What fans do you guys recommend? Looking for cooling power rather than silence.

Lol i remember that rig bro. Innovative to say the least.

@GeorgeStorm:

1. You can add some Anti-Freeze to that water it will help draw the heat off the block. It dosn't have to be much. A little is better than none. It probably won't bring down yur current temps though ambient temp is ambient temp.

2. If this is going to be a daily rig and not a bencher where everything is going to be changed out all the time, most definately go to the pet store and get some anti-fungal. You know the stuff they put in fish tanks? Just a few drops in your res. and it will help battle fungus growth. It happens and it clogs up radiators.

3. Check your voltages man. Are you sure that you are running close to the minimum that your setup can run at? It really does seems warm to me.

I'm going to redo my loop entirely, will probably be using distilled water with a silver coil.
It is indeed, and that why I'm going for a silver coil :)
They may be able to be reduced a little more, but not much, as far as I'm aware. 4.2 @ 1.28v isn't exactly bad. But once I've redone my loop will spend some more time seeing if I can get i any lower.
Have dropped back to 2.8 atm on 1.05 just to keep temps cool until I redo the loop.

Oh geez now I must dig out pictures of my "cooled by a freezer" build. BB soon. :keeporder:

OK I'm back:ohcrap:

Here are 5 pictures which pretty much tell the story up till' I turned that A/C inside out :taunt:

Inside the freezer was about 60-70 water bottles full of ice and a bucket full of antifreeze with my radiator submerged in it. I had to swap the bottles around every couple hours until it all got too warm.......then it takes days to get back down to good temps again.

It worked pretty good when it was cold and I had a lot of condensation, and with no knowledge of insulation I hung the system on the ceiling. I thought I was a genius:blush:

Haha, thats awesome!
Am getting new stuff this weekend :)
Will update once I've redone everything.

GeorgeStorm 01-29-2011 02:20 PM

Well, didn't get stuff, too much coursework to do
However, did find these:
