If your in-laws are anything like mine or my parents or of anybody else of that nature, they won't need wireless N. Wireless G will be just fine. Not to mention Wireless N cost too much and the hardware for it is kinda shatty. One would think after all these years it would be cheaper and better than what it is.

i have used alotta routers and i am most happy wiht that linksys one e3000 it's really good and all.. but it's 150~200 cash!
when that died i got this pos little netgear dual band router... it's been dropping all the time when there is alotta things going on on the network.. and then after that i got this belkin router it's there highest end (the box is purple) lol i got it for 25 shipped and it works surprisingly well haven't try bench it or anything but it's got giga and it's cheap! like anywhere from 50~70 it's got giga, dual band and a usb port. also i think its kool it's got a guest wifi account |
The old Linksys routers were great. The new ones with the internal antenna suck. Try one of the Asus DDWRT capable ones instead.

Gonna try. It's been a heck of a wild ride this year. So much, that I am out of the loop on hardware, so I will probably lurking around so that I can get caught up again. Maybe I will have to make a thread in the General Section to catch up with y'all.
