Wow thats crazy! Don't fault you at all for dismissing it then!
The scythes are meant to be pretty decent, what models you going for? If I were spending that much on a fan, I'd go for atleast the 3000rpm ;) I know what you mean about 140mm fans, there just aren't really any decent ones :/ Can't go wrong with a couple of Samsung F4s for mass storage ;) |
I'll probably go 1450rpm or 1850rpm honestly. I have a trusty S-Flex for the CPU cooler to tide me over until I make up my mind. :) I'm thinking F4 2TB actually ;) They are just so darn cheap vs the 5400rpm 3TB Hitachi.

Yeah, picked one up 2nd hand (you're probably sensing a theme with my computer purchases :P) for £40, very pleased with it so far.
Scythes are a safe bet for fanage :p |
I've bought about half of my parts second hand albiet they are all practically new. Its saved a ton of money. Plus I offset the cost a great deal by selling stuff. The build isn't nearly as expensive as it looks. :)

It's the way forward, I don't buy anything new anymore.
I don't think I own anything I bought new, apart from a HDD, and DVD drive :p |
How about some pics..........
