AMD will suit you fine if you are the everyday web cruiser/gamer. Won't be getting you any world records but will save you money. :)
I have the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 and it is a very nice mobo. Anticipating Bulldozer myself. I'm not expecting it to beat Intel but love tweaking hardware. Especially when it's cheap. |
yea its ok Drnip I can't ever afford anything that will get any world records any how lol. I am trying to win that CPU lol so I can save some money. Just lost over at EVGA but its ok I think I am done over there anyhow. There stuff is nice but Gigabyte is getting my attention with there mobo's.

I can't afford any world records either. The Classified was epic in itself but EVGA is behind the game again when it comes to mobos. Sounds to me like its time for you to broaden your horizons.

Have to love the ROG offering of late ...
Not sure how the ROG boards are for AMD though ? One thing is for sure if they clock as good as they look it is win win |
yea EVGA is nice but I have been with them and Intel for 7 years now. I think I am going to go AMD for a while, not for benching just gaming and try to OC their stuff. Again I use to have an old FX chip and I thought they were nice chips. I know Intel stomps them with speed and such but I did think AMD had smooth chips.

Asus Crosshair or Gigabyte UDx = win right now. I went with Gigabyte this time because I went with the Asus Crosshair last time. Heard great things about Asus Sabertooth though.
|
saber-tooth looks awesome but if I go with it, it will jack up my color scheme lol. I am thinking about getting the Ud3 dont really need all of that other stuff on the 5 or 7.

Crosshair boards are nice, but not cheap, and cost WAY more than the average board that is necessary for AMD.
Same can be said for Intel I suppose, but not to the same degree... |
