Call him what you want, but this dude was a genius. Yes he stole all of his ideas and bought most of his patents by praying on the weak, and fully admitted to it (He quoted Twain "Good artists borrow, a great artist steals") he mastered the opportunist game to the T, but he also proved that hype is 99% of the game, great devices are 1% in this business.

the man have my full respect, most of his ideas and marketing strategy is beyond good

i mean if anything i don't dislike him as a person but as the apple, just pissed alotta people off when they ware like "hey world, btw we are coming out with ifone 2000 TOMORROW!" but at the same time it keeps most of the consumers happy
this is just a theory, but it's a theory that may VERY much be true,
me and my broffer ware talking about the guy lost the new ES ifone, but look back they have almost leaked one or two out every year when it's getting to come out and that creates a HUGE hype for people been watchin it, and most likely they have one or few get "lost" on purpose

and that is just pure genius

This industry including the PC industry would not be what it is today without him...

whether we like it or not.. windows stole alto of design ideas from the original apple/mac OS and together they stole back and forth to make both companies grow...

all in all above comments are correct.... make a cult item/community.... cult community will buy item sight unseen and line up for hours on end or even days without seeing a working unit...

that kind of marketing is something I would love to learn as very few can master such attention to that level.
