Just ran a system scan using sfc /snannow from the admin command propmt. It reports it found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of the :thumbdonw:

Doing a restore will lose bf3 at least, and could delete black ops and ut3 as well, so it's not really worth the effort. Same amount of download as reloading.

if the upgrade doesn't work, a new OS install is definately in my immediate future :ohcrap:

FYI you can slipstream SP1 and other updates into windows install using RTlite 7 then just install from USB. should be 7-8 minutes to new desktop :)

Yep, been there done that before too... now, just been there again :laughing:

Other than a 3 hour or so break to take the wife and daughter to lunch, been pretty much installing and downloading since my last post :argh:

But... SP1 now installed :rofl:

About another half a day to download and install the games and I'll be all set again :P
