yea the 900 can do 2x 480's and 1 x 240
one could argue a 280 would fit up front if you dump the HD bays |

It seems so obvious maybe you are overlooking it? Maybe it is me? I dont know. I do not have WC stuff laying around to show you why it wont work. I can tell you this. low power DC Pumps do not like resistance. that is a high resistance setup (not because of the rad/block config although that is true too) the slightest leak in that loop drops pressure enormously because the pumps are not pushing water through the loop they are pressurizing the resevoirs and the "passive" res are pushing water through the loop. Crack a cap on the res, the PC over heats and shuts down, probably not before the res bubbles over though and short circuits something. Could you imagine trying to circulate water in a pool by sucking water off the top and shooting it up through the bottom? (Of course in this example we would need a separate pump to be sucking water off the top because there is no pressure being generated just a lot of bubbles). No of course not that is an open loop system. the PC system is closed loop and does not matter. I get your point, (the weight of the water in the loop keeps the pump primed), I think you are missing mine, in that, my making the resevoir an active device you are required to increase pressure to the point of air pushing the water through the hoses instead of the water. since water does not compress, you are adding a resevoir for no reason at all. You cant bleed the loop because as soon as you crack a seal the air pressure drops and the water stops flowing. EDIT: huh? |

You are probably right, let me think through this again as I can't seem to wrap my head around this ???
I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer ............... :ohcrap: Where's the bigger picture ? Edit, I just bought (2) of these for an upcoming build. Wouldn't this be the same differentce as the set up in the pic other than the D5's are intergrated ? http://www.overclockaholics.com/foru...1&d=1360233841 |
