Inside scoop from Rogue...

It was Kal who did it, he was pushing her, making her hurry and rush, telling her to do this and that !

I take full credit for permitting Rogue to kill close to $1000 in hardware in two days time, a record for most noobs, she sets the bar for this forum. :rofl:rofl:rofl

Woa woa, I'm all pro man, double checked everything. If I had to rule things out, I'd have to go with the components on the gpu that were fubarred, re-soldered and damaged sending enough of a back jolt thru the pci-e slot and destroying the mobo.

Time to put the Classified on the rack :D

 I would love to blame Kal but i take full blame...a little to rough w/the gpu and then it went all to hell from there. Leave it to a girl to fubar a good hardware....ohcrap

ouch.... i still would blame the big gorilla... its easier.... hell i blame him for killing my 4870's and hes never seen them.... it just makes me feel better that its not my fault :rofl

Yah I blame Supes and Vivi for having me kill a vid card in search of 800MHz core, and almost killed my rig.

Nice handiwork, except for hte dead hardware.

Leave it sit and try it again tomorrow :) Worked for my setup lol

(Also dunno if it is limited to ASUS, but put one stick of ram in the 4th slot, boot shut down put ram in first slot and reboot sometimes works even when ClrCmos does not...)

Well, now I don't know wtf's going on, fired up the system, everything worked fine, no video corruption nuttin. Went into the bios, changed a few settings, hit save and reboot, she never rebooted. No pops, crackles or anthing.

Power down, reset the cosmos and now she goes on for a hairs ass of a second and shuts down by itself. Switched out GPU's, same thing. Switched out psu's same thing. Switched bios jumpers, same thing.

In the process of switching cpu's now.

Anybody got any ideas, suggestions, prescriptions or declaration of death certificates??????

Yeah the Rampage board is sweet when it behaves. BTW: Great job on the insulation!

DrNip 07-03-2009 04:14 PM

When that happens to me usually it is due to my CPU cooler being on stupid or CPU needing remounted. I just take it off, reset the CPU and then remount. For some reason on my 790 I could only put the CPU cooler on in the direction of the fans blowing across the GPU's. If I was to put it on with the direction of the fans blowing across the mosfets, it would do like you are describing.
