Hi,I test the speed of my internet in many sites I got the best speed results from ip-details
my results are
download=1.09Kbps
upload=0.87Kbps

I assume those are supposed to be capital Bs?For Kilobytes per second?

Otherwise, Damn not much faster than 1985 internet (which was physically calling one computer from another on a 900 Baud modem. (.9Kbps)

I gotta call comcast, they sent me a thing saying my intenret would be degrade if I did not update my modem (docsis 3.0 IIRC) No shit, I lose connectivity at home more than on xfinitywifi.

ADSL2+ from a local isp. This was on my laptop.. via wifi, i've seen it do better. What i've been admiring is some of those ping times...

I pay $125 for this "business class" connection. Pay $40 at home and have 20Mb/s Down on Time Warner.

Just asking what do you guys pay for those crazy speeds? I live in a small town (26,000 population) and mine runs $42.95 a month for 10/1. Seems to me $4.30 for every 1 down is a little steep. Its the only cable supplier, the next best thing we have is DSL AT&T but the speeds are really pathetic. Well my current speeds are too but I refuse to pay $60 to get 15/1.5 and unless I go business that is all I can get.

Ithink mine is like 50 bucks for the 30/5 connection, gotta check wit the wifey.

Don't feel bad, I pay $50 per month for 5/.6 and live in a larger town (100,000).

I would pay that for 30/5 but its not happening here.
I feel for ya. We use to be the same but about 4 yrs ago they upped us to where I am now for the same $. Its does all I really need 90% of the time anyway though.

I dont know the reason why my speed seems to be slow many of them said that if Cable Internet services share bandwidth with satellite Internet access.
If there are many subscribers using that same bandwidth, it can slow down the connection.
