gigabyte had a chip for controlling vgpu......on the ES cards that andre and some guys used

retail gpus don't have it...

i suggest not buying these cards....as you won't touch andre's es card numbers...

Anyone else sick of the "bait and switch" MSI and Gigabite have been pulling with these non-reference cards?

yea its absolutley total bs. I am totally pissed off about it. Nvidia is taking the same turn. Seriously. Guys like us go and spend a grand or more every time a new gpu comes out thinkin we're gonna get screamin hardware and we get totally screwed.

These manufacturers are ruining the very thing they are trying to promote. It's like they think we are completely retarded. Shame shame on Gigabyte and MSI (for their fm comp). This discourages the non sponsered guys from wanting to play the game.

Gigabyte is on probation with me right now. When I price up builds for family and such, they usually include a gigabyte mobo. Not any more; not for a while. MSI is very very close to being on that list too.

I never usually buy either lightning excluded. Im an eVGA/ASUS boy most of the time.

Remember guys, they don't care if they sell us cards or not.

In fact, they probably don't want us to buy cards. We're a drop in the bucket and 100 times more likely to send it back dead for a replacement.

They just want some big numbers to go along with an advertising campaign to sell a boat load of cards to gamers. Most of whom won't even put em under water.

Honestly, Retail should be the only hardware allowed at the bot. That would make things fair.

Thanks guys I guess I got lucky! My very first ever Ln2 vga run...

I didn't even insulate properly because everybody at XS was saying the retail cards where dogs so I was hoping to just hit 1200/1300 and call the night but the card kept going lol... I'm sure with some proper volts and more testing it will hit 1500mhz :ohcrap:
