Anyone else getting this error trying to run cpu-tweaker?
|
cpu tweaker should be in the root folder..
|
Well, let me put it this way...is anyone using Cpu-Tweaker with a P67/2600K rig?
|
Sorry, haven't tried it yet.

I'm almost down with you even at 4700MHz. If I could figure out how to get this thing clocked and get cpu-tweaker to work I could do some damage.

http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...hsot0003-1.png I'm still working it, can't get waza to run right. Can do 6m40s with no waza. |

Still hung at 4700MHz...

Read somewhere there is a way to make these chip like cold?? Any idea how and what is that???

Man that blows, Have you tried the Asus Suite.
I still don't have a cooler. This dude was supose to ship it this week but nothing yet. Should have just bought a new. PM'd him. If I don't get a responce will be hitting the buy button on a new one soon. Was hoping to be up this weekend to help out with this and see if this board is a POS or if something else is going on you one the 804 or did you go with the 1053 ? hope 1253 is out soon for the Revolution. Their was a dude on XS rthat used to make custom BIOS's for ASUS back in the day but can't remeber his name, but was night and day for my Asus P45 board think is was Ket ??? anyone remeber this dude ??? |
Yep he still does or at least he has been for ASRocks.
|
Kool, I will search around over there for him, and see if he has anything yet although it is early in the game with these boards
|
Here ya go. A thread by him for BIOS mod requests. :D

No EFI support .......
Thansk for the help bro .......... I will see what happens, would love to get 5GHz or a bit better and hit some benchies hard, but if not the real purpose of my build is for a no holds bar prtable gaming rig. I was thinking 4.4 to 4.5 24/7 would be way awsome teamed with 2x 580's both on 16x bandwidth. |

I added a little PCH voltage to run 104 BCLK on the deluxe... I did get some HDD corruption when mem tweaking though. |

Disable EPU in the BIOS and make sure the switch is off. If you are still getting that 16-33x in CPUZ, then set EPU to high performance. Either in BIOS or with EVO. Even disabled you can still control it with software :S Also.. UEFI always remembers the last settings unless you CMOS reset. Stupid design flaw. so you can set High performance.. restart, disable EPU and it should stick. CPU core offset voltage will let you pass 1.525 volts without erroring, but again offset remembers your last voltage settings.. so if you were auto volting or manual volting at 1.4v already.. adding offset adds to that 1.4v. NOT stock VID. Stupid stupid. I do not have time to test cputweaker for yah right now buddy, maybe I can get back home tomorrow. |
I'll try that neuro - I blew out another OS this morning on a hdd. :scared:

580 is nice :)
4.5 Should be real easy to get. I set mine to 4.475 for a 24/7 OC. I went in with deliberate max voltages though 1.0v SA, 1.2v IO and 1.3v Vcore. RAM at 2000 ish 104BCLK * 1866 multiplier. |
1053 works bro ............

Another OS explosion...I can't believe I got rid of a 980X for this junk.
Btw, Jack Lalanne died today at the age of 96. :bench: |
toast some carrot juice in his honor
hey rick you are just increasing multi right now right? |

I mean great arch... but full of failure too for overclockers. How many died here? How many lost cores? I don't recall that on previous Intel chips and just never heard of it on AMD. I killed a Q6600 though and those were tanks :) My first 920 ran 4.65 its entire life... second ran it and beyond and then became a desktop cruiser.. so hard to say if it was a tank... I could still pull 4.7Ghz when I needed to... so yes? My first extreme OC boot on SB was 52X... first blue screen I got when pushing BCLK... 51X was new max multi... (I only just realized it or I would have posted it sooner) |
Every time I get up to 4.8GHz it seems everything gets unstable. Is there a setting that controls video somewhere like pci-e frequency? Somehow I think that is what is holding it up. Once over 4.7GHz during boot up the screen goes haywire...after that I can never get the OS to boot again.

bios settings?
|
Uploader would not work - had to use Photobucket.
I have tried full auto to full manual on nearly all settings and still come up against this wall. I have not yet flashed the bios...I don't understand why this mb acts the way it does and don't want to flash until I understand the reason. To even try again I will have to re-install a OS. (#6 and counting) |
Have you tried Load-line calibration at the low setting?
|
try pll 1.75v
and cpu voltage manual instead of offset and set to 1.5v |
Smack it with a hammer a few times to loosen up them jiggahurtz :taunt:
j/k hmmmmmmmmm............ LLC "Ultra High"???? Is there a "Ludricous High" setting? |
I have probably tried most all those settings to no avail...can no one else do 4.9GHz with the settings I have shown?
|
i just booted 49x 100
4c/8t wprime32m 8.xxx seconds fully stable... |
Just flashed bios two times in a row with the Asus utility and it is still showing as 804. Seems anything related to Asus is always a pain in the ass for me. Never had any problems with Evga or Gigabyte.

VCCSA should help with PCIE flaking as the system agent handles PCIE/DMI/Power controller etc.
There is no separate PCIE control which is why the systems are BCLK limited. Mysettings for 5.2GHz (everyones will be differnt and I seem to need more vcore than others) This is a little flaky.. same settings drop BCLK to 100 though and its very stable... 1st page Manual 100 All Cores 51x PLL OVervoltage enabled 2133 mem divider EPU disabled 9-11-9-27-2T CPU power management Ratio Auto EIST disabled Turbo Enabled Primary Plane Current Limit Auto (can bet set up to 1023Amps though) LLC High/UltraHigh VRM Manual 500 (this does not really seem to make a differnce TBH) Phase control Extreme Duty Control Extreme Current 140% 1.525 manual 1.675 vdimm 1.1625 SA 1,,28 IO 1.5-2.0 PLL (Placebo effect?) PCH 1.15 Manually set all DRAM refs to .5 Spread Spectrum disabled pg 2 Ratio Auto Thermal disabled Active Cores ALL Limit CPUID Disabled XD Enabled (should be disabled I suppose) VT Disabled EIST Disbled Turbo enabled C1-c6 disabled PCH-HPET Enabled Onboard Up to you. I have ethernet enabled and USB3... Serial port must be enabled for Bluetooth to communicate APM All to disabled except PO by PCIE Enabled. (supposed to prevent Double boot when retrieving PCH pageS) 3rd page Qfans disabled Ignore CPU voltage (thanks Splig) DOH! 4th page Numlock off (if you want it on in windowS) Fullscreen disabled Option ROM Keep current... (this speeds up boot as you dont get the Intel/Marvell RAID splash screens) Setup- Advanced At 5GHz that is very stable upping the BCLK to 102.. its 75% it boots. When it does boot it runs any benchmark... If CPUZ is showing CPU speed as 16x, try setting EPU to low power saving mode. restarting and then disabling it and restarting again. Set High Performance in windows as well. (Obviously) |

Clear CMOS helps too with BIOS issues. The UEFI seems to like remembering old settings.

I have a 2500K though... wPrime 1024 is running now at your setting minus some vcore and lower LLC. Is running warm though at 52-54C missing that arctic snap we had :( If you cant update the BIOS I would say that is the BIG issue right there. Return it and get a GB board :) EDIT: Crashed wPrime with a x101 (too low a vcore, more likely too low a LLC) |

i forgot....

I'll try those settings this evening Neuro thanks - If I can't get it going still I will take a hammer to it for sure. Off to work...
