why you don't take of the IHS ?

because then there is not enough surface area as well as the top bank of ram chips gets too cold and wont clock as high if you take off IHS from 480/580's

WR :) lapping helped, also dual AX1200's 1.66v's 1570mhz passed as well but started getting mem artifacts from too much cold.
