Need some help, i picked up 2 msi 5870 lightnings and both wont boot they just make a solid pitched wine noise from the video card on-board speaker. Also none of the power LEDs are lit
Any thoughts?

That sounds like theres no power to the gpu. I know you have the power plugs in. So i'm guessing they're fried.

Good news after all the cards work. I bought them without the factory heatskins, so they came with waterblocks installed that werent mounted correctly causing them to overheating. Not used the the touchy IHS ati use.

Merry Christmas and Happy New everyone if i missed a different thread on that. Plan out a DD ahead of time bros.
