Witchdoctor 09-24-2013 10:17 AM

Aaron,

I appreciate your efforts and the efforts of entire Asus team, However, it is possible I have not made it clear that this is motherboard is esential for me to make a living, What can I do to expidite this process? I simply cannot afford to be without my computer indefinantly. Please let me know a definative time frame that I can expect a replacment unit so I can notify my customers when i will be back up and running.

Sincerly,

Or tell him you are a professional spammer and you have his e-mail address ..........

Haaaaaaaaa

OK well I miss read his Email as he meant testing the new motherboard, not testing the broken one. If its a new motherboard what is there to test? Seriously, I'll make sure it gets put through its paces :clapping:I hope its a black but then again the black may not work with SB-E? Oh well...............

Got to bring more power to the party :ohcrap:

PhIlLy ChEeSe 10-10-2013 02:03 AM

You mean volt mode and subzero temps or..............if I use the three way bridge the board shows the middle card as X1?

Witchdoctor 10-10-2013 09:37 AM

Overclocked 3930 = 175 to 200 TDP

3x overclocked 580 = 900 TDP

hard drive fans and so fourth, willing to bet you are low on power

what PS are you using ? just piggy back another one on you have laying around and run the two fo the cards off of that and see if it helps

LOL I already was, I have the corsair AX1200 but can only run two cards as all the CPU power plugs take all my extra pony tails. So I jumper pinned my test PSU for the third 580. It still seems like it's starving, any other hints? I'm open fer blowing stuff up :clapping:

Witchdoctor 10-10-2013 11:11 AM

Well if you ask me it can only be three things here

1. Power supply dieing

2. Video card dieing

3. Both Dieing

:ohcrap:

something is dying i beat three 580's with two 4890 :ohcrap: What about when I'm in windows i hit the thing on my GPU-Z and it show the middle card at 1X?

working it bro , awesome

OK, well assuming the best, when I add the bench test PSU is when I have issue's. This AX is not even two years old, I bought it shortly after joining here. You are right the 580's draw a TON of power, I may need to invest in a second GOOD PSU. SO any way, I'm bringin out the guns............

You can see in this photo the PSU plugs on the mainboard, there is a third plug near the I/O/sound for multi GPU'S. with that plugged in I can only power up two GPU'S with double 6 pin's each. Second photo is the gun's, I was to lazy to unwrap them. First up is my 6950's, just two.

Witchdoctor 10-11-2013 04:07 AM

use a 6 pin x Molex adapter to power the PCIE lanes

the 1200 will struggle as 3 of them will tax your 1200 all by them selves with no CPU

or it will simply melt on the spot ...

I would look at more power

take one of them and the CPU and perf's off one and two of them off a dedicated 850 or better

Thanks Bro!

Got it, be a while before I load Nvidia's back in, now have two extra 8 pin pony tails waiting for them.

PhIlLy ChEeSe 10-11-2013 07:12 AM

OK Fire strike extreme WTF am I doing wrong? I'm clocked out for now but score sucks ass? I tried turning every off/on, nothing changes it? HELP! :ohcrap:
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1383869

I'm lower than a laptop

Witchdoctor 10-11-2013 07:45 AM

yea I get may ass kicked by that bench as well

Drivers are everything, at least from what I have found, went from zero to hero, now the 327 won't even run it ?

Splave 10-11-2013 08:01 AM

bad drivers? are you running performance or extreme

I'm clocked around 4900 with 1.5v and up Vssa(UGH that's for the IMC and I'm not clocking the memory), I turn off C states on the CPU. But leave everything else alone. I assume this is where my issue is........THANKS Bro!!!!:thumbsup:

Extreme, the SLI preformance on this bench sucks as well

However I think I have crippled my 3930K ......... :ohcrap:

WOW MAN!
I can feel ya, not cool! Yeah under the AI suite in windows i was going Extreme. I mostly bump the + v core, turn to manual on the CPU multi, then tweak it out in windows with AI. mine requires insane voltage just to run my memory 2133 witch is its speed, it will default the mem@1600 even then it volts it out at 1.6 or higher :scared:. I'm not sure why, unless its just a chip that likes a lot witch will get me no where fast I assume. May have to flee bay it, n start fresh.............or kill it first.

Witchdoctor 10-12-2013 10:14 AM

yea my IMC can barley do 2000 ........ :ohcrap:

tightens down nicely though, running 8-9-9-26 1T @ 2008 Mhz

can run 2133 but really have to loosen it up

sort of like an old girlfriend of mine .....

PhIlLy ChEeSe 10-12-2013 11:27 PM

HA!

My old chip could do 2400, but this one wants to much voltage for that speed...Can I ram an RMA'D chip? Gonna see if I can get any XP love, idle temps are high not sure why.
