You got me on that one Chucky! I'm equally sure you were astute enough to notice the stock fan speeds for both fans.

If you go look at the thread there genious, you will see that he used the TRUE's stock fan on both coolers :rofl

Now will you admit your ignorance and just admit that ALL three of these coolers that we are talking about are nice? Lemme guess, you want me to waist my time cyphering through tons of reviews only to weed out the shitty ones, just so I can prove to you that while the Mugen II is a hell of a heatsink, it falls just a tad short of being the best. Do I really have to do that? Last I checked drnip has you beat by a few hundred mhz and he is rocking on AIR! :)

hellcamino 06-14-2009 03:07 PM

You believe w/e you want about your new cooler buddy, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. As for Nip beating me...I had one night to work with mine and turned in some 4.4ghz 3d benches before stopping due to PSU problems. I was running the 3d benches only as a preliminary to getting 4.4ghz 24/7 stable btw but I am sure Nip has me beat there too!

In case you were wondering you are wasting your time trying to convince me here. You do what you want though!

My feelings aren't hurt bud. I just love a good debate, and I'm like you; hard headed :argh: I know you had limited time working with your setup. The comment was more directed about your view of aircooling.

I know this ;) That's why I haven't invested tons of time to find all the reviews I went through. I will post stuff up, and you will try to find a way to disprove it. The truth of the matter is this. I should be on water cooling. The reason I'm not is because this is my bench rig and by bench I mean throw a pot on that sucker and go to town. I don't really care about what cooler will net me the highest 24/7 clocks!

In all honesty, within margin of error the coolers all perform the same. I wouldn't mind recomending any of them to someone. I do like the sweet ass mounting of this thing though. Kudos for that!!

No. I'd like you to start a new thread and do it up like its a fabulous mystery h/s that everyone is dying to know about and then only post like little tidbits or partial screenshots. Then everyone will post saying "we want more". Thats when you really mystery it up and don't post back, thinking that everyone is on the edge of their chairs when really.........................they were just being nice about it and are actually pretty sick of mystery man phase builds, mystery build cases, mystery buyers and mystery selllers.

Seriously tho, you gonna dedicate a thread to this h/s and its performance/review or what?

:rofl:rofl

I was actually trying to find a way to upload the pics using the forum without having those stupid thumbnails at the bottom. IDK, I saw the pics even after closing IE and reopening??? Oh well I learned my lesson and shall be flogged later for it.

I got one, but I'm lazy so I just use the forum upload feature.

Ya its a shame that I have a full triple rad setup on my 24/7 rig. I'm just too lazy to do the modding to mount it to the tech station. :rofl Who cares, this rigs main purpose is to go sub zero anyways. :p

Peen 06-14-2009 07:38 PM

I wonder how this compares to my SBT Core Contact Freezer

Testing is good. Testing them till they break requires extreme cooling :)

where is the sub zero?????

whats holding you up?

i may be able to help :)

I hear ya on that. I have a water setup just sittin in the kitchen not being used. Some parts on it are brand new, never had water thru them. Been meaning to pick that project back up, LOL.

marcam923 06-27-2009 12:48 PM

So did we ever get real life results??

I was gonna buy a Prolimatech, but I loved my old TRUE, I want some numbers because am setting up for some wicked air cooling.

Will be watching!!

Don't make me do the testing myself LOL

Chuchnit 06-27-2009 01:03 PM

Well Marc I've only benched with this cooler. I do know that i've passed 06 at 4.6+ghz on i7. I just haven't had time or the urge to go for any sort of 24/7 stuff. Soon I'll install vista and see what it can do.

What kind of temps while running 3DMark, I know Lee had some good things to say about this cooler, but I am still curious against a TRUE.

youngpro 07-12-2009 11:37 PM

i seen opb using one of these a little bit... hopefully going to grab one next week for a bit of a play.. to be honest i dunno if there is any difference between the top coolers like TRUE/NOCTUA and this is there?
