Hello everybody, George here. I'm posting a lot in Xtremesystems and hwbox.gr, hopefully here too ;)

My buddy crio told me that you got a nice forum here and I feel the need to say congratulations to all of you, I found lots of great stuff while searching overclockaholics a couple hours ago. I bench mostly on air ( I prefer the tweaking side of benchmarking, Goddy can for sure explain :D ) and whenever I can on SingleStage or dry ice. At the moment though, only on air. Again, glad I'm here.

P.S. w00t dinos and Jody here too ? to_keep_order Fantastic :taunt:

nice looking site!

Neuromancer 07-04-2009 09:22 AM

Hey welcome Freeagent.

I have known this guy for years, and it is because of him that I have gotten so into Overclocking. (We have had a great little rivalry over the last 6 or years). He is not quite the HW junkie I am but he is great and getting everything out of a setup that he can. (I suppose half the reason I am a HW junkie is trying to keep up with him)

DrNip 07-04-2009 09:29 AM

Hi all

Nix, jrabb1920 was my army call sign, so I use it on all site that I join.
I'm also a Mod at blazingpc, Hit and Run made a reference of this site so I had to check it out.

I'm a retired Army Helo pilot, now I'm managing a R.V.Park in Spokane, Washington. I have been playing with computer since the old Intel 8088 days we made ours from scratch back then.

I do some benching when I have the time, I'm into folding, about three years ago had a folding farm with 60+ rigs. but that's a whole story on its own.

Present rig is

Q9650 @ 4.4ghz
Rampage formula
4x1gig OCZ reapers 5 5 5 15
Custom water cooling
GTX 260
Antec 650

Right now I've been trying out this windows 7

You all got a nice site here.

sign1 jrabb1920. Very cool call sign to_keep_order. Look around a little bit. I love this site and atmosphere, but I must admit I'm a little biased. ;) So don't be shy and tell us the story behind 60+ folders

BTW, Hit and Run must like this place. There are quite a few people that came over here for the same reason. Thanks for the kind words buddy :good:

Bones 07-10-2009 05:35 PM

What's up guys?

First off, I'm a moderator at Classicplatforms and go by the same username there. I also go by the username Dr. McCoy over at EOCF.

As to OC'ing, it's really a hobby I've picked up over the last few years and like everyone else, I'm still learning. Started off with Socket A's and I've been going eversince.

As for my rig, well I have several here in various stages of assembly/disassembly since I'm always tweaking them, trying new things to see what I can get them to do and the like - You guys know how it is, it never runs fast enough.

Current build in progress is as follows - Just ordered these parts yesterday as of this post:
AM3 X3 720 BE
MSI 790FX-GD70
OCZ DDR3 2000/PC16000 Platinum RAM (2x1GB)

Of course improvements to the system will follow as I can do them... Well that is when I'm not too busy benching to do them. :D

Kal-EL 07-10-2009 09:06 PM

I figured it was the Bones from Classicplatforms, Welcome to the Overclockaholics buddy :D
btw, I tried registering at your forum via the main page but can't access the forums, any suggestions? ( I need moa POWA! :D )

Bones 07-11-2009 08:02 AM

Kal-El, let me check into that for you and should be able to do something about that soon. Believe I know what's going on and will look into it.

Also figured "Why not" and added my HWbot sig.
If it's too big or a problem in any way, just say the word and I'll remove it.

Kal-EL 07-11-2009 01:25 PM

Thx Bones :D

I don't see ur sig tho but feel free to fly ur hwbot sig homie.

Bones 07-11-2009 03:30 PM

I believe this post will have it since older posts before it's inserted won't show it.

Thanks Supes!

As mentioned, let me know if there's a problem with it and I'll take care of things if needed.

Hello everybody here at OCA !!

My name is Jesse, hailing from Alberta, Canada.
(Whoa, this is kinda reminiscent of an AA meeting I attended years back. I left
when I discovered there weren't any chicks there who wanted to hit the bar afterwards.)

Another nic I use is 69_GTO_Judge at various forums including EOCF, Club NBOC, XS,
EVGA, Asus, Club OC, and others.

I am currently owner/operator of Pace Manufacuring, a machine shop
building specialty tooling for the oil and gas industry. The equipment includes
a pair of 4-axis CNC milling machines, which come in pretty handy when I want to
build cooling parts for my rig.

My hobbies include muscle cars (primarly GTO's), drag racing, camping and packing on
horseback into the mountains, and, of course, anything to do with PC's. I am totally
obsessed with OC'ing, benching, tweaking, and modding all the hardware I can get my
little grubbers on. I have to restrain myself from tweaking the controllers on the CNC's.

My current rig consists of:

- Antec 1200
- i7-920 CO
- P6T Deluxe X58
- 6GB Viper 12800 @ 8-8-8-20
- 2x Sapphire HD 4870X2
- 2x Hitachi 1 TB Raid0
- Sony BD + Pioneer DVD
- Ultra X3 1600
- Custom GTO X-Flow CPU WB
- 7 x64, Vista x64, XP SP3 Triple Boot

I'm pretty sure I have voided the warranty on most of these components.

Project in the works (wish list):

- Custom built torture rack
- EVGA Classified
- i7-920 DO and/or i7-975EE
- Corsair Dom 16000
- various GPU combinations
- multiple OCZ Vertex SSD's Raid0
- better PSU
- more custom cooling products

I will start a build log soon.

I have found Overclockaholics to be the most open and helpful forums anywhere on the net.
Great information, members, and atmosphere. A big congrats to all the owners and admins for
putting together such a terrific place. I look forward to spending a lot of my time here.

Great! So, Mr. P4, did you have to go sub-zero on the nb when overclocking P4? I'm doing things in reverse right now, Core2Duo --------- P4 s478.............

I don't have any sub zero gear, or any OCing gear in fact, but I like seeing what others are up to, and I like to hopefully learn from you guys.

So you'll have to bear with me. My old P4 rig was an OEM Acer, and it was 5 years old :scared: Only got i7 this year (a few months ago). If my 920 fries It'll be your guys fault

Teach me about the world of overclocking guys! :clapping: (I'm pretty new but I want to learn)

I'm sure you have sub-zero gear for your P4 Kal
