Dang man... you should be on OCA bench team... the size of the guys here... you would fit right in with your steel case smashing abilities LOL

freeagent 01-22-2012 09:36 AM

Lol yeah.. that was from forum wars summer 08, it was near the end of the competition, last 24 hours to go, and my 295 was dieing, except I didnt know it was my 295 that was the problem. I was so irritated with the whole situation, after fighting with the machine for a day and a half, while remaining somewhat calm, and reserved.. But every man has his breaking point lol

For now tho, Ive moved into something a bit smaller

Since I had it out, figured I'd share.:)
Slot 1 212 mod.
Note that this is not the actual 212 that I use on this BE6-II. I have that one loaned out right now. The actual one has the fins marked in red removed to clear the ram on this board. The fan when installed, provides pretty good cooling to the NB and ram also. Nice for air benching. I've had vcore up to 2.6v on this setup and never broke 35c.

Witchdoctor 02-03-2012 07:19 AM

Damm Scott, now that is a serious retro bencher.

I have not touched a slot load since 1999 ....... :ohcrap:

Looks like a lot of fun bro ........

Tear um up !!!

Mr.Scott 02-03-2012 07:25 AM

It's all about the fun.;)
I do enjoy the old stuff. I have quite a few of the old 'king of the hill' boards and accessories for pretty much any platform. Not a lot of points in it but that's secondary to me anyway. It's entertainment.

Witchdoctor 02-03-2012 07:51 AM

I am sure it is, I remember having a lot of fun with those things back in the day. Just can beleive their are boards out there that are still functional. The heat sink mod for the memory has win all over it .............

Here's my fan related stuff OCM - Enjoy!

I believe I can get another one of the smaller portable fans (Same fan as the black one shown) really soon, that would set me up but good concerning fans. :cool3:

OC Maximus 06-29-2015 08:59 PM

Holy Fanzillas!!!

What are those fans off of?

Bones 07-01-2015 10:46 PM

These are from old hand dryers.
The one I like best is the small black one since it's versatile and can be setup with ease just about any way I want. The other two aren't that easy to work with but do supply plenty of airflow where I need it once setup.

Now here's one for the gallery, picked this one up a few weeks ago and yes it works great. Not the easiest to install but once it's in place it holds temps nicely to the point it's almost comparable to my watercooling - Note I said almost.
