Patch 05-12-2010 06:21 AM

It's interesting how my perception of this race changes.

Obviously, binning plays a role and access to nonexistant "ES" GPU's is a big advantage and a few guys will always have that edge. But it's starting to seem like access to mods and software to bypass limits/protections is much more important for the global boint game as a whole. When we obtain those it leads to an across the board surge for the team.

I agree Patch .... but numbers will rule ....

For instance ... we have what maybe 10 guys with 980x's and 480's

if they have 11 we will lose .... if they have 9 we will win

In the global arena at that level to boints are so close numbers will determin the outcome I beleive ....

the mods and software will be a must to compete on their p[laying field and make no mistake this war will be waged oin their turf ....

Question is how much factory/sponcership support will they recieve.. and what will be the resolve of said sponcers to insure a good old boys club victory ....

Lets face it if Intel Gigabyte and MSI gang up on us at the pinacle we will be chewed up and spit out .... Finacing a war against the manufatures would prove to be to demanding even for our richest members ....

wow the more I see the enthusiasm, sportmanship and overall spirit of our top/all members the more I believe we can be at the top and be respected and feared by the rest of the world.

I agree with most of this, but as a "global" guy, most of our walls are CPU limits.
This is where binning means everything.

Don't really agree with much of this. With the latest revision, its not a rich boys sport any longer. Our team's standing depends on constant benching no matter what you have for equipment. Almost all of the older teams have 50% or more of their members inactive or awol.

Not only will constant participation from most of our members propel us, but it will also serve to lure active benchers away from inactive teams ie. Jor, Patch, Dom, ect... This will make us surge faster than anyone could have ever guessed.

Our global guys don't need sponsorship to succeed, but we do need better chips and gpus. This is where binning is essential. If we can get in front of the sponsored guys in some areas with a 6.5 980x, the sponsors will just grease the way to global golds....but they aren't essential.

It is only a matter of time, and you are an integral part. Lets do this!

Way to lead my friend!

I agree, not that having access to the rich boy parts doesnt help from a global standpoint, but overall just benching every piece of hardware you have in sight will net us benefits.

doe noe about that Rom

$ 1500 is the price of admission to compete Globaly now ... you know this as well as any as you have spent it... $ 1500.00 is a lot to some of us .... Throw in the pots and Ln2 consumption and the price of addmission keeps raising ....

Constant benching is in fact what got us to this level as well as you mention the intrest in top benchers from some other teams is a good observation and has helped tremedously. I hope this trend continues as there are so many great benchers out there....

I do agree the new platform is better at the bot, but to think finacial resorces do not still run this game may be a bit nieve IMO

It is all about the money in the Global game my friend, Binning as you mention takes a tremendous amout of resorces. What 10 980x's to find one that will do 6.5 ....maybee 20 .... serious cash my Romulan friend

I for one do not know how this is going to turn out, but it is going to be fun. I am sure of that ...........
