Yes 960Gb, but are some compatibility problems to boot windows on SR-2,
keeps stuck in a reboot loop.

win install, competing and all, but just don't whant to load desktop gggrrrrr,
this 960Gb monster i use it now as a extra hdd for swapfile etc next to my velociraptor,

i feel real bad lol

Evga really needs to update bios.

Yah, thats horrible man, they need to git with the storage times. I had some issues getting my os to register my 2tb backup drive too. My Computer would not see it. Took some tinkering but I finally got it, unfortunately for the life of me I can't remember what the remedy was.

seems that it's bios problem of evga.

It's bine more then 6months ago that SR-2 got an update.

shammy, tin uses a newer version but whont give it to me to try it with the RevodriveX2.

Last version is from November 2010, and they use a March 2011 version.
they say it's the same, but screenshots about CpuZ mainboard tab looks different

On my Revo installing the drivers from WD was all that is necessary. However you might try installign hte drivers from the manufacturers themselves. The fact that you can install and everything means more than likely it is not a storage issue, and if windows starts to load, then its not a BIOS issue. Soundsjust like a driver issue to me.

(Especially if you are getting a 0x7B stop error)

I assume it is going to be using the silicon image 1324-2 controller via the Pericom PI7C9X130 PCIX to PCIE bridge just liek the smaller drive (will support up to 1 GBps transfer rates and SI does not make a better version).

the SI chip is under the Blue R sticker and the bridge is the P withthe lightning bolt through it.

The Silicon Image chip is a SiI3124 PCI-X

Pericom PI7C9X130 bridge chip.

so you say i can use the drivers directly of manufacturer for revodriveX2 ?
Let's try it ;-

But you see that the performance of the drive can be improved.

Neuromancer 05-08-2011 10:57 AM

Glad you got it working Chiller :)

Hmm I might need to pull the revo drive from sale and see if it will run better on latest drivers :)
