Does the heatkiller come with a backplate or you gotta order that seperately?

I've been wanting a heat killer for some time now, never got around to buying one. hmm, someday

I just looked up the heatkiller and am considering buying it! No it doesnt require a bracket. Im currently using the universal bracket by koolance where the posts bend at the bottom ill prolly just mount the block on that current set up shouldnt make a difference plus it has a mounting bracket underneth.

Also i thought about putting the cpu on the tri rad loop but i figured the gtx 240 extreme by hardware labs would have more heat disapation then that cheap 50 dollar stealth ice gt rad. Any thoughts???

If you can a black ice extreme rad with high static pressure fans is a great combo!!

I highly reccommend some Scythe Ultra Kaze 3000RPM fans. They flow 133cfm. You can hook those up to a fan controller and quite them down when not in need of the extra cooling. Crank them up and your rad will turn into a flying rad :) :laughing::laughing:



speaking of flying rad, some of those super high flow delta fans will really make your damn rad fly and hover lol

actually i do have some of those 3krpm fans but they work best at 2k rpm

so you can actually get the Ultra kaze 2krpm ones and they are a good balance of noise and massive amounts of airflow

really? Weird, but good observation. They are also thicker so it serves more as a shroud also. I really need to get some of those fans when i kick it again with my water cooling.

I got a couple 3k's running and they are very loud at full throttle, using the older model kaze fan controller with the 3k's caused the fan controller grief (or it coulda been the sub-zero air being pumped thru the case) but yah, u get my drift on the noise level.

Yeah few people have told me they are pretty loud. but if you get a fan controller than can handle them, they should do good. Anyways when you are benching, who cares about noise :) :)
