I reinstalled the OS and ran AM3 again LMAO

CPU score is 1/10th what it should be... but on a positive note the GPU score is about 5 times what it should be.

Tried XP comapatability mode and deleting direcpl.dll

Running 06 now. cpu test scored normal, but installing fresh drivers anyway.

CPU/GPU score is pointless to look at for am3. You can even get an N/A for those two scores and still get an overall score.

Neuromancer 03-16-2010 05:25 AM

Yeah but my first runthrough of AM3 was 105K with a 34K CPU score. (I forget the GPU score)

Started OCing to try and catchup to Witchy, and maybe I borked the card?

What I'm saying is only worry about the overall. Don't even look at the CPU/GPU score in am3. It is pointless...

Well I thought it might point to something since my score was halved.

Chuchnit 03-16-2010 05:50 AM

Well I think I might tell you again that those scores don't matter. Now if the actual bench score is way off then you have a problem. If the bench score is close, the CPU/GPU score can say what it wants.

Hondacity 03-16-2010 05:58 AM

imo the cpu and gpu scores matter... try reinstalling am3

I reimaged the OS and still got bupkiss

Going to call the x800 a dud and move on

Move on, get some results and try again later. You know the routine. Next try will prolly be a sucess.

Scores don't matter. They have nothing to do with your overall score. K|ngp|n, and a bunch of other benchers backed this up when it was asked at xs. I have had plenty of runs where they showed N/A for CPU/GPU. AM3 score is avg FPS x 100

I am about to throw this damn thing through the window

Popped in the 7600gt.. max OC hit pretty quick 590/795

Ran it stock and scored a 3935 in 06

Oced it and ran again and lost a thousand points even though all individual scores went up

I am starting to think I am doing something seriously wrong with this setup.

ok trying again limited gmem clock this time and a lot more core clocks.
