What did you expect. We had this kind of stuff before on XS or any other forum dedicated to Overclocking. I have seen the same reaction from them before and I'm not really surprised. :D

You have to be a real vag to take the piss out of someone just because they're proud of their accomplishments.

Really, just a bunch of class acts on the top end of this hobby. You all could charm the paint off walls.

Jor, amazing results congrats.

Great job man. I love seeing those WR's.

Not a surprising thread, though. Certainly, there's some heat over there - but make sure you take note of the large number of guys at PURE that didn't hop in and flame.

I came to this game late and am personally spending a fortune on hardware - and killing it. It does feel extra good when you get your hands a gem (especially when it's $25 on ebay). But this sponsorship stuff goes through growing pains in every sport, and everyone always laments the good old days.

I remember it happening in surfing 20-25 years ago. Tom Curren was my idol then, and he quite appropriately left and became a hermit in France - very fitting. People were always complaining that the pro guys got flown around the world (just a few hours north of Supe every year....) to surf killer waves on free stuff. And the pros were always complaining that they had to surf meager slop and pretend it was fun just to get some points. Then Kelly Slater came along and real money started to roll in.....

Just wait until real money becomes involved in benching.

Personally, I'd love to get some binned chips and GPU's - but I got no interest in reviewing stuff. I'd rather surf slop on my own time.

(I gave up on p55 after wasting $900 on three crappy 670's with a 66% survival rate, but I might be willing to give it another go if Jor's buddy wants to unload another cherry ES for a measly $190 )

It was an ES chip...

OOOOO

That explains the angry responses then. After all without them he would never have gotten an ES.:ohcrap:

Nobody's perfect, everyone has the mis-guided beliefs, nothing to see, move along move along :keeporder:

Yea I am sure they paid their dues .... And they are great at this craft. I do nort beleive anyone could argue that point.

But I am sure you understand how frustrating it is to drop 5 bills to 1K and get a POS

Many times we have to suck it up and just do the best we can with a substandard CPU rather than just grabbing a new one. I beleive they go throungh many hunks of crap, but it sure must be nice to be able to throw it over your shoulder and grab another one ....

for me it is what it is and Jor ... Awsome work and it goes go to show every now and then the buyer gets lucky and with skill and a great sample can compete in that arena.

Me I am a poor slob, so I am looking forward to benching my Vmodded 3870 ....... LOL

But IMO both sides have there ups and downs ... such is life

Point taken Karma .... I hope OCA and Pure continue to work together and make each other better each day .....

The future so bright ................................. Gotta wear shades :cool3:
