From our OCA archives what is the best XP to run this bench?

Jor, I'm guilty of being really lazy the last few months so I have only ran mine. SZS guys swear by tinyXP though. Really any highly cut down XP with the tweaks applied are gonna be super close. I only gained about ~500-800 points going from a full XP to a cut version in the low clock challenge. So amplify that to full clocks and you are probably looking at a couple thousand for a cut version.

Great thanks man, for some reason your OS is not installing on my pc. I'll try to right down the error I'm getting on that DOS installation (blue screen).

I also tried TinyXP and I'm having issues too. After install SP3 and Resources replaced nothing can be copied from or out of the OS... Can't even drag a short-cut in Desktop etc. Really strange.

Is SP3 helpful?

Same XP was running 3d01 won't run 3d06/?!?

I click and nothing happens... what gives?

I'm benching right now so help is needed fast if possible.

Any tips on 3d06 on the XP machine? Triple buffering on or off? D3 overider? Physics on or off? LOD? Control Panel settings>Advanced? System cache?

did you have d3d overrider running while you installed 06? that fucked my install up once.

OPENAL install okay? what card you benching?

Its same setup 3d01 = 980x + GTX 280 :-)

I did install with D3 Overrider OMG maybe that's it? How did you solve it Splay?

hmm maybe just try it on a different install if you have another HD laying around with XP on it?

we had a similar problem with 3d06....couldnt run for whatever reason.
