All my wprime/spi runs are on xp. :)
|
xp here too
|
Yes wprime gives me better results on xp than 7x64 but i havent test it on vista yet
|
Well, I get several minutes faster times in (edited)1024m and up to ~ a minute faster in (edited)32m using Tiny7x32....at least on socket 939.
Never tested with a more modern socket. I just ran it in 7 on my 920 too. EDIT: now I will have to go home and run some WPrime on the 920 with xp and 7..............it seems kinda strange/illogical that more modern hardware would give better results using an older OS when older hardware gives better results using a newer OS. |
I tested it on the 920 with everything set to defaults and OS in normal mode. TinyXPx32 wins by quite a bit over Tiny7x32on this platform. Avg of ~.4 sec in 32m, and ~8 sec in 1024m.
Must be an anomoly of the socket 939 architecture. Sure am glad I figured that out. ;) |

XP is faster on the 939's also. |
I beg to differ. :D See below examples.
And check out the other 6 golds I have in wprime if you need more proof.:taunt: EDIT: Believe me I ran them all in XP first and was 4-5 seconds slower. http://hwbot.org/rankings/benchmark/...TypeId=CPU_711 http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/...=cpubenchmarks http://hwbot.org/rankings/benchmark/...TypeId=CPU_712 http://hwbot.org/hardware/processor/...=cpubenchmarks |
xp is still faster :D :taunt:
