Piano? :ohcrap:

Are those temps with a water block on top of the TEC? Under load or not on?

kikicoco1334 03-17-2012 07:04 AM

those temps are just the TEC it self no additional heat at all.

not my piano the charger for my keyboard that's hooked up to the computer

Uh, I doubt that is going to have the amperage for a TEC, more likely you will end up smoking your piano power supply.

Laptop PSU might work if it is the 150W variety.

(I have a 95W 150W peak universal charger for sale if you need one ;) )Will sell it cheap as I dont like fixing laptops lol.

Make sure its output isnt 17v. (unless your pelt will operate at 12-24 ;) ). Would have to check that on any laptop charger of course, most are in the 15-17v range I think. There are a bunch of 12v though

kikicoco1334 03-18-2012 01:16 PM

the TEC operates from 0~15.2V DC and 0~9A and the max out put on the stupid computer PSU is only out putting 12v(11.33) max. but it does out put 24A
my question is will it be able to some how make it take more amp?

kikicoco1334 03-27-2012 09:21 AM

Does anyone know why is it when i have it on the wires gets burn hand hot?

i am using just random cat6 cables, i soldered it to the molex heads and plugged it in to a 400w PSU

Neuromancer 03-27-2012 10:13 AM

OMG! Are you crazy? you need a decent gauge wire to pull 200+W.
