Once you see what these chips can do for your 3D stuff it will be lights off.
AMD is cool stuff and lots of fun I am sure, but you have to be competing with in the hardware. Globals are tough other than CPUz as their new chips are in the 8+ GHz range if memory serves me. Once you get it hooked up try some cards you have benched on AMD platforms and you will see what I am saying :) The new DC chips should retail for around $ 350.00 is what I am thinking, but MC will have them under $ 300.00 is what I am thinking, June 2nd is what I have read for a release. Sucks about the hospital bills bro, it is insane what they charge for stuff. The good news is you came through it, make sure you are taking care of yourself bro, this shit is fun but it is not important, your health is paramount |

That's the priority here, trying to simply keep going. Benching is one of the things I do to unwind and although I haven't done much since my heart attack, I've been able to crank things up a few times. Nothing exotic but good enough to get a few golds and boints too. Right now I'm sticking to a routine of work and rest with little in between except when I feel like it. I did finish rebuilding one of my pots and one of these days I'll have a chance to test it and see if the work pays off or not. Had to modify it to fit on my 1155, also fits everything else I have (Everything AMD I have and my 775 setup) so I'm good there. :D Hmmm.... Sounds like Devil's Canyon might not be the shiznit like some are making it out to be - I'll take your word over anything I've seen elsewhere Splave. |
:) like 1.4v for x46 stable
|
They might improve the chip before long and can only hope that happens for those buying these to upgrade from what they have currently.
That's alot of voltage for an Intel to reach 4.6 stable. :Dizzy: |
I am a little out of the loop but VCore setting is not what it used to be. IIRC
When I was brushing up on Haswell, I thought that vcore adjusts the voltage to the ondie voltage regulator not the Chip itself. |
neuro there is vccin voltage that does that, then there is vcore seperate
|
yea my Devils Canyon chips are meh..
This could be the reason they are talking pushing back release. The chips are ok fro gamer/mild OC but pushing limit is fail... |
That's disapointing news
What type of results are you getting ? |
