game package for one of my favorites (but snubbed by community as getto/low budget ship) is the Avenger: $75 https://robertsspaceindustries.com/p...ckages/Avenger

The Avenger is an old police cruizer, has some zip to it and handling but some people don't like the look which I love.

Standalone Avenger is $60.00 https://robertsspaceindustries.com/p...venger/Avenger

Game packages include early access to beta releases. Standalone ships require Area Commander pass, I think its five bucks to fly in the arena.

All the ships handle differently based on center of gravity, thrusters and actual physics of the ship. The Aurora class rides more like a cadillac but is the cheapest group of ships.

Full Ship listing (Game packages include different items physical and digital vs Standalone Ship packages).
https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/ships

Depending on what you actually wanna do in game, in the persistent universe will determine what ship you wanna pick up. As ship designs complete, the ships become hanger ready first, then flight ready (flyable). Most, if not all, the fighter/cargo class ships are flyable now.

I've spent $1700 real world dollars on some pretty bad ass ships. Just walking through the hangar and seeing the level of detail would be enough for me. Immersion pwnage.

My opinion of the game is that its phenominally epic. They just released version 1.1 and its kickass. Coming up shortly is the First Person Shooter module which bridges space flight with landing/docking/boarding someone else ship and First Person shooting it out. Possible ship thefts in process or cargo hold raiding. Or just plain old helpin a brother out with pirate infestations.

Eye candy is superb. Ship designs mind blowing.

If any of my brothers here wanna spend some off time, Join Up at the Office of Criminal Affairs here: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/orgs/OCA

Game is pre-alpha but soooo much goodness already.

I think next year is the official launch.

As each module is completed they move forward to next aspect of game. Then all the modules are integrated to make one seamless universe.

First module was Arena Commander Module, racing ships/tracks, battle royal, cooperative battle royal, free flight, Vanduul Swarm (against ai campaign). PVP.

Next module is First Person Shooter with going planet side in First person.

The game is nutter butter even in the Pre-Alpha state. The website is very transparent and the community gets updated weekly by everyone in the process. The amount of out-of-game content is amazing. The in-game pre-alpha shit is stunning. Lotta work left but they continuously meet deadlines.

I think they raised 74million so far which allows them to keep raising the bar in-game.

early backers had access to purchase some rare ships that are selling for upwards of $1, 000 each in some cases, consistently on reddit. They had lifetime insurance policies on them.

Not being bound by a game publisher has let the dogs out to build whatever they want into the game.

It's tempting. But a lot of money.
