arent 3003B, THE batch to buy????

yup, mine is great. Roms maxed at like 5.4 or 5.6 or something I thought though. could be the board though

well just because a chip is from a certain batch does not guarantee anything. there are still great variations within batches, although certain batches can indicate a better chance of finding something good.

even the famed Q822A435 8600 batch had duds that maxed at 6.1ghz in it...

Right on the money, miahalen in Japan ha that ame 3003b batch dom and spla have look at his 6ghz+cpu with no cb or cbb!

My 3003B242 was a dud. Bad cold bug. Bad CBB. 5.7 ghz max.

aq3 is golden 6.0ghz 1.75vcore 1.45vtt 2c2t as well, although was going for wprime global gold for hex but didnt even come close to my last session? probably something small I missed in the bios it is 2am and all. Could also be the 80% humidity, just sitting in my apartment and my clothes feel wet rofl.


PS at 5.8ghz vtt on auto is set to 1.4 and is stable. I thought it needed to be higher but it doesnt at all so I havent been pushing that as hard. Also if you cant give your chips the cold dont give them the volts. -145 1.73 to 1.8 max out at the exact same spot.


Any ideas on spi 1m? 5.85 is the max I have been able to run it, I get not convergent or not exact in round. Add some more vcore and I get blue screens when I try to run. Same with vtt, perhaps its a signal setting im overlooking.

+1 on the humidity. Did some benchin last nite an the LN2 Clouds were krazy in my room. Needed lots of paper towles.

Much better results this afternoon with the 762 ...

pifast @ 6100 and wprimes @ 5530, was just getting started when things got weird though ... evbot stopped working, could barely get it to post let alone get into windows ...

saweet! great results, x33 multi? what kinda vtt and vcore. details :) Set the signal options or left at 0 ?

I would check the closest ram slot to the pot maybe got a drip or something?

33x multi yes ... ram and uncore were low, just testing the limits

vtt +300 ... it HATES any more than this, and less might be helpful (will test next time)

vcc 1.85v for 6ghz, 1.9v for 6.1ghz (2c2t, pifast and am3 ran without issue)

Wprimes would run 5530 @ 1.75v, seemed to be fine for more but when I tried to set 5600, that is when the shizz hit the fan and never recovered.

This A batch eats voltage, with the exception of vtt it scaled very well every time I bumped it until I hit the wall @ 6.1

I think Vantage and 06 @ 5.5ghz, and the other 3d at 5.9 is about what it looks like this one will do.

More testing to come.

My chip survived, I will put it back under ln2 tomorrow or friday and bash at it some more.

Yay! The egg got the OEM 980x I mailed back for RMA and they approved the replacement. Wonder if they're mailing me a retail one since the OEM's are out of stock.....

Stupid CPU needed to be overvolted to run stock speeds when not subambient......I told them that counts as defective on a $1K chip. :cool3:

I could never get my retail chip to post at all with shammy's signal settings. Even at 3.3 Ghz and cold.

ES chip did before it died, though.

dent I used them during my 6ghz wprime 32m run but they seem to not be good with 2c2t. On the a51 it doesnt hold some of them anyways or makes them a random number like cpu signal.

IDK needs some more research.

Ok some more results tonight ... just finding the max clocks for 3d in preperation for my lightning arrival tomorrow.

All tests on 31x multi, 2:10, 1.85vcc, 1.5vtt

Vantage - 5.5ghz no sweat, 5.6ghz passes about 1/3 of the time
06 - 5.7 ghz
03 and 05 - 5.8ghz solid, could squeeze close to 5.9 but random crashes
01 & am3 - 6ghz

This time I used NONE of the signal compensation settings, all @ zero.
My cold bug was nowhere to be found, went all the way to -165, never CB OR CBB, and the lowest restart was ~-152 without issue.
