Guess I have more to do than I thought before I bench.

EDIT: either get BSOD or can't detect any storage devices.

I gave up on AHCI for today, but the restart time is getting better.....down to 41 seconds this time.

I have had problems myself with Xp trying to do AHCI - Go Win 7 for your fastest boot time.

Not really the goal.

Just trying to get my HD set up best for benching and decided to test out the restart time.

There are ways to do it.........I need to make a dvd with TinyXP and the necessary AHCI drivers on it. Or have a floppy drive and a floppy disk containing them. I don't have a USB floppy so I have to do it the other way. Tomorrow I'll buy some more DVDs and try it.

i had yesterday a Fusion-IO Xtreme 80Gb in the house, only for few hours, friend visited before he did go to taiwan on holiday and had a nice toy with him.

Asked him if i could run it one time to see how it works, but he didn't had a lot of time.

So i did run Pcmark05 en whanted to run Pcmark Vantage, but Vantage did give constant error.
Anybody knows how this comes ?
For Pcmark05 it's HOT, goes like hell, responsr and IOPS are crazy, this is a tool musthave for Pcmarks.

unfortunally no Pcmark Vantage, i did go crazy.

Boot time i can't say because i used if fast as second drive where i did say to pcmark to run test on that one.
But i think for boot time......... FAST

220MB XP startup is the limit. Gotta copy a file to the drive before running 05.
