Waiting on this fool to send me my mount kit before I can do anything in sub-zero land.

Going to run my 05 and 06 benches again tonight with a higher cpu clock as well as higher gpu clock.

DrNip 04-29-2009 03:32 PM

Doo-doo-doo!

I won't be happy until I hit 4.9ghz on air!

Jeffro64 04-29-2009 03:43 PM

DrNip 04-29-2009 03:47 PM

HAHA you crack me up jeffro! LOL. I'm workin on it, man am I workin on it. At times I think I am going to catch this thing on fire.

Jeffro64 04-29-2009 03:52 PM

Just kidding bud.... don't damage anything.

I just got my ram @ 8-8-8-24 2T and it seems stable I think.... made a difference in 3dmark 01. :D

DrNip 04-29-2009 04:02 PM

Nah your cool. It ain't overclockin if somethin doesn't break or catch on fire. I ain't scared to lose somethin in the process. Why? Because I'm Under the influence of being Over the Edge!

Chuchnit 04-29-2009 04:09 PM

Ok nip you gotta stop having all this fun bro. I'm having hardware withdrawls and jealousy issues. For real man, you have one sick ass setup that's gonna pwn under cold.

DrNip 04-29-2009 04:11 PM

That's if the board is willing. The CPU is. I just hope so or else I will be out another 400-450 on a classified! :(

Nah homie, I don't see it NOT scaling when colder. That goes for the mobo too when the cold works it's way to the nb and pwm sinks. Now the only problem is trying to catch up to V2-V3's gigantic lead

DrNip 04-29-2009 04:18 PM

Only 250 points away! :D

Chuchnit 04-29-2009 04:25 PM

No sweat if you pimp all that hardware of yours :D

Jeffro64 04-30-2009 06:03 PM

Hey Nip.... Is this the ram you have?

KHX16000D3ULT1K3/3GX

DrNip 05-01-2009 02:20 AM

Yes sir.

Jeffro64 05-01-2009 03:48 AM

Not a bad price on it at the egg... I might pick some of that up.

DrNip 05-01-2009 01:52 PM

New high. Only 47.45MHz away from my 4900MHz goal. :D

4852.55MHz

DrNip 05-10-2009 02:30 PM

DrNip 05-27-2009 04:32 AM

Well I got back from vacation late the night before last. Got up went to work, got home turned on my computer for the 1st time in 5 days and BSOD at Windows boot screen. I reset the CMOS a couple of times, pulled the battery as well as switched hdd's. Same scenario. So I popped in my Memtest as it was lookin to be RAM related just to find out one of my sticks had shitted itself. I have never seen a stick of RAM throw so many errors. I ran it for maybe 20 seconds and the errors had to have been up close to 1000 already!!! So now I am wounded for a bit as I have a master bathroom remodel starting tonight and I don't have the time or money let alone patience to deal with it right now. This rig has been one problem after another. So I am going to sit back in the cut for a bit until I come up with money and a different plan. Looking to get a new mobo and RAM. Might have to go get a paper route or somethin as that is another $700 I am goin to have to ex[plain to the other part some how. :(

I forgot to add, HOW THE FCUK COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED JUST SITTING THERE!!!! There, I feel better. :D

Chuchnit 05-27-2009 05:04 AM

nip I think some of those first run sticks are known to die early.

Kal-EL 05-27-2009 05:27 AM

Ouch!

Jeffro64 05-27-2009 07:25 AM

Damn.... I have that same ram. Atleast there is a warranty! Still a pain in the arse though.

$700.... You must be going for the Classified and that other ram you were talking about. :D

Jeff I could be wrong, but I think it was basically the first batches off the line that were dying like crazy. I think they refined their process and it's not as big of a deal now. Don't quote me on that though.

Jeffro64 05-27-2009 10:08 AM

Fingers crossed :D

DrNip 05-31-2009 04:54 PM

So close...

Jeffro64 05-31-2009 05:04 PM

Ah hell.... your there, we'll round up and call it a day! :D

Good going Nip! Wish I was having that kind of luck with the AMD chip.

DrNip 05-31-2009 05:06 PM

Damnit this one was 5ghz but when I saved it I guess there was a glitch. Immediately after I saved it my system crash. 5.3ghz would have been nice. :D

Jeffro64 05-31-2009 05:09 PM

DAYUM! Try it again!!

DrNip 05-31-2009 05:15 PM

I can't. I figured out what went wrong the 1st time I tried DICE on this mobo about a month ago. When it gets -50 to -60 degrees it won't boot. It tries but shuts itself off. I BLEEPED around and let it get to -59 degrees and here I sit waiting on it to warm up. I am almost out of DICE too. In a nutshell this mobo blows goats.

First things first. Buying a Classified with my first paper route check. :D LOL

Jeffro64 05-31-2009 05:19 PM

You haven't done bad at all.... my MB and chip, well thats another story.

DrNip 05-31-2009 05:23 PM

I think I have about rode this pony ride as far as it will go.

Kal-EL 05-31-2009 05:34 PM

Holy hell, Shazaaaam mother foker!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FFS AWESOME!!!!!

DrNip 05-31-2009 05:52 PM

All I can figure is I am experiencing a cold boot at only -50 to -60 degrees. WTF!!! I have jacked off what DICE I had left. I would get the pot warmed up, try to get 238 BCLK(5ghz) and it would freeze. Then it won't restart so I have to scoop out the DICE again. 4.94ghz 'll take, for now.
