Been working on a little something of my own here since yesterday evening.
That's what I like about my benchshack - I could bench and do mods/build stuff at the same time if I wanted to.

It's a 3/4 inch thick piece of solid aluminum, the same thing that's on my old pot. The old pot seems to work OK but the base simply doesn't have enough mass to hold temps down as I'd want it to while booting or under load. The base on this one is much bigger so I think I'll see a difference between the two pots.

Believe me if I had some copper I'd be using it but gotta go with what I have - That's how it's always been here. Maybe one day I'll get a nice block of it and build something really good.
Not hard to do, just takes time to do it right.

Don't worry guys, I believe the new one will be good.
Overall results I've been getting from the old one were actually enough to let me be competitive with DICE and this one should let me go higher with better control of temps due to the larger base.
I'll get around to testing it soon and see what it does. It's already completed related to the assembly process and leak testing showed it as OK - Last thing I need to do is insulate it and do a cold test of the pot.

If anything it should be a good slow pot for my 939's.

LN2 is cheap though. probably like 25$ to fill it.....

I could ship it to you, not sure how much it would cost, but that's on you.

So if you don't have any luck finding one, I got this dewar that holds more than plenty ;). All you gotta do is ask, I'll size the box and weight and come up with a quote for shipping. heck I may even pay half for ya, like one way or something if it's really expensive.

Silvers for 1m and 32m global :D not too shabby. IMC is totally maxed at 1240. can boot 1300 directly but not 32m stable at any timings. Still a good run.

On my 4th 3770k only does 4.8ghz boot to windows 7 1.28v going to try and run tonight with it if im not too tired.

lol you need to show me what settings/volts you used in the bios got 2c 6.6 just to pass nature with affinity set to 1..... im just using nick ln2 settings :laughing: maybe pll to low ??

New CPU seems better than my other i can run 6.3ghz in 05 4c/8t but IMC is weak have to run ram @ 2T. Still learning the corks of it doesn't like to boot unless use Nicks profile first then set memory. Plus CBB -145c...

^ hey man, are you setting 106 bclk in bios and pll to 1.7v? should solve your CBB completely.
On asrock, I set all my settings with mems at 2400 and then boot, and then next time raise to 2600 usually solves all my problems. So try booting memory low first then bump it up

Hmm ill need to try that man hope it will save some LN2 for me, torching full pot cost me a lot. I just notice the boot issues when i was trying to turn off HT and set the memory at the same time so it throw me off, thinking IMC sucks. Still pretty noob with LN2.

Well had hardly any LN2 left. Tried .pll at 1.7v but had to bump up to 1.788v. Next session just going to have to bite the bullet run CPU tests to really fine tune it...

I was looking into the A class but im out the board and card.........
Board isnt the problem but its the card that is killing the pocket.
I would do B class but dont feel like binning 3570k back to back with 3770k. My local Mircocenter now has my mugshot for returning 3770k's lol.

I like that no Titans are allowed. And, although a 7k cpu and a good 7970 (something that will do 1300/1800) arn't in my posession, I might go for it if i can find something worthy. After that last MOA my wife will probably kick my ass cause i was miserable for months.
