Looks like you and I are in the same boat on this one Banik. I finally did manage to get my ram to run cas 6, but with marginal gains so far. What is XMP profile for memory and would it benefit me in these benchs? I'm afraid I am deficient in memory skills. Does anyone see where I might make improvements? Can't seem to go any lower on multi/mem speed and still boot into windows... :Dizzy:

Rick are my eyes playing tricks on me or are you actually on XP? :taunt: If so, don't use the win98 theme. Use silver or olive green luna theme.

I thought I had the right thing...someone please email me the theme I need.

Chuchnit 09-02-2010 06:18 AM

Rick it is XP right? I was just busting balls because you hate XP. The luna themes are nothing special. Right click on desktop>properties>select windows XP theme in the drop down>tab over to the appearance tab>second drop down select silver or olive green.

he's using Rev9 XP iirc, no themes other the defaults :ohcrap:

Chuchnit 09-02-2010 06:30 AM

luna is a default theme. Unless themes were removed during nlite??

DrNip 09-02-2010 06:36 AM

I never got better runs using the luna theme back in my SuperPi benching days. Everybody says it is better. Maybe it was because of the OS I was using.

it was removed, by default I mean no theme, just the 98 look.

Nip, benching on Olive has always been better but cycling the themes is where it's at. Check splave's notes, he's tested it extensively with consistent results.

Splave 09-02-2010 06:54 AM

rickster here is the folder you need to unzip to C:Windows folder and overwrite all files
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs.../Resources.zip
Enable the themes service and reboot, you should be able to choose now

Theme cycle ;) ending on olive ftw
