unfortunately wprime is not exactly a bench that benefits from any superpi tweaks and for that matter any other tweaks :(
if you find something that will speed up wprime you are doin well lol |
Killing explorer.exe kill my score by 2 seconds or so. What you need to do is try a a run with and without teach tweak to see if it benefits you or not. Of course I have seen reports of killing explorer.exe helped.
About the only thing that I found to speed up w/prime is faster cpu clocks. |
Yah probably right. I was going by the marks received by the SS cooling guy for my CPU. Which led me to believe my tweaks were responsible for my Cups. But I see that he just was not optimized for it and running too close to instability I guess as his scores suck per clock cycle, and the rest of the guys benching the 920 seem to be pretty even as score per clock goes.
There are exceptions though. I will probably just continue to bench 2D after SuperPi though just to keep things rolling. |
I gotta agree with nip on this, not all tweaks work the same, hell 2 different ram sets even at the same settings seemed to respond differently to killing explorer
|
Yeah I read that a lot. What works for one...

Nice progress, Neuro!
How much does the Olive theme help your scores ? |
A good few seconds I think. I was not methodical about it (really should keep a journal) just kept adding tweaks, I have not tried each one individually yet. I started with the simple ones system cache and maxmem, than I tried spi tweaker.
Next big jump was Prioirity. That really seems to help. Affinity and Luna theme both happened at the same time, but I jumped a good 2%. All said an done I cropped a minute of my sPi32M time from these tweaks. Just looking through my screen captures I have 3 32m runs saved. First at 18m 38.812 seconds Added Green Luna and most everything elses got me down to 18m 17.406 Ran chkdsk, than used 3rd party defrag tool. Reboot, can spi tweaker cleaner. Than ran pi soft clocked up another step ran pi again soft clock over till I found fail point restart, waza a 8.25GB video file and ran again but this time clocked straight to just under the fail point. 17 Min 38.921 seconds. |
