The thought has crossed my mind to put it on.

Can't call it with this platform. Updated my BIOS to 601 and now when I disable CPU C6 Report I can't multi clock in Windows. I enable it and I can. Not to mention when enabled my Control Panel -> High Performance trick doesn't work anymore. CPU will downclock to 16 multi as well as volts downclock. Don't know if OS is reporting wrong but CPUz and Asus Suite II are both showing 16 multi but realtemp is showing 32-34 multi. Multi is set at 38 in BIOS. Fixing to roll back BIOS to original.

Ahh that is strange,
The High preformance trick works for me in XP but not Win 7 :Dizzy: Asus I hope addresses all these weird problems.... |
Oh and PS2 mouse quit working as well with 601 BIOS for me.
|
Did you try the gambit or just revert to shipped BIOS ?
|
Won't let me revert back to any other bios. Keeps giving message that image is out of date.
|
That is bull shit !!!
Did you try 413 ? |
Tried everyone of them. 405, 413 and 414. Sick of this downclocking bullshit. Give me a mobo that doesn't have those features. Also sick of this +/- voltage crap. Give me a mobo that 1.3v is 1.3v in the BIOS. Tired of having to pull out a calculator to calculate what my voltage is if I set it to -.25 or something in the BIOS. Maybe I'm just frustrated talking but damn.

I'm quiting my focus on Windows overclocking and working on BIOS, or excuse me, EUFI clocking since this is mainly going to be an everyday, gamer pc. So far 4.5ghz stable at 1.27v. Think I can get more BCLK at them volts.
Here are some pics with Coolit ECO and Akaska fans in. I had to do some extensive modding to the fan casing and front clip piece to get the radiator and bottom 120mm fan to fit. Nothing a rotary tool couldn't handle. Temps are lovely now. Also switched my HDD and SSD around. Threw the SSD in a SDD mount with plans of getting another one on top of it for my benching drive.
