Finally got to briefly test the 4930k + Dark board ...

It's nothing like Al's chip but it's far far better than my 5.5 one lol

When I have more time I'll do 3d test should do vantage ~5.8

Also need to pick the Splavinator's brain if I'm missing an important voltage this chip might really be good.

The Dark board is a beast, no trouble with quad channel mems, although they were at stock timings.

I was also trying to juice the PLL, did that seem to help you one way or the other?

After a little 3d test, looks exactly like I thought, 5.8 for vantage and 5.85 for '11 and FS

not bad at all man, not worth buying more imo with new stuff around the corner

Whats the time frame and whats coming up Splave?
Hope the chips are more like Ivy and not so much hasfail...

haswell refresh seems like more of the same but a bit better on air

yea, what I am pumped for is supposedly the Enthusiast level chips are supposed to actually based on the hassy refresh making them current instead of a gen behind, we will see if there is any truth to this as this would be significant. possibly 15% to 20% bump from current Ivy based chips :)

Busted my butt for this 10th Global 2x cpu and 8th 4340. I used the Maximus VI Impact board. The thing is smaller than my hand ffs. But a solid overclocking board for sure.
