Looking noice and shmexyy Hybrid :good:

HybridChiller 01-03-2011 02:04 PM

because Duke was talking about his OC facility to upgrade it, i thought why the hell don't my pics of my room here?
So you guys can see how addicted to PC stuff i am and to OC :

it's a desk of 4m long, depth is 80cm,
at the right is benching zone with everything to hook up to mobo (psu, screen, key and mouse)

at the left is where my rig will stand when it's finished on the HD screen where is now a laptop on.
also have a 3500W airco in the room with an external unit outside on the wall, the unit in the room is movelaible.

material to work with :

soldering irons, heatgun, dremel, multimeter, voltcraft duo temp meter etc etc

Schmexy!

I saw your ethernet cable getting snaked back through the Case. Are you going to do that with all the cables?

How about sleeving your periphs? KB and Mouse even SPDIF should be pretty easy, Monitor might be a little tougher though...

HybridChiller 01-05-2011 09:50 AM

is not the internet cable that is going trpough the case, but for the Evga EVbot from IO-Shield till in front plate. ;)

Neuromancer 01-05-2011 11:54 AM

Ahhh that makes much more sense :)

HybridChiller 01-05-2011 12:27 PM

didn't you see the connector in front ?

little square hole (Evbot) under a tiny drilled hole (clear Cmos)

i made the EVbot connector in the front plate, is a little easier i think ?

Neuromancer 01-05-2011 02:10 PM

Yeah, I remember you mentioning it before too. I just did not reread the whole thread just the latest posts :)

HybridChiller 01-05-2011 02:17 PM

1 Attachment(s)
just to make it more eassy for me, also the DEBUG LCD in front will be handy, together with the clear cmos, for OC and benching.

normally this is my 24/7 rig, but hey, why not playing on benching with it with the cpu chilled, no ?

:) :) :)

put all kind of low end vga's on it together wiht cpu power for hardware points

HybridChiller 01-09-2011 02:21 AM

little teaser, what am i planning to do ?

http://i53.tinypic.com/vwtslx.jpg

DOM 01-09-2011 03:28 AM

fire it up already :taunt:

HybridChiller 01-09-2011 03:29 AM

need mem and a 3th pump,

then afterthat i can boot it and install on a velociraptor HDD, but upgrade the vga's and revodriveX2 on time.

DOM 01-09-2011 03:43 AM

how long has this build been going on for ?

thats why i dont like cases to much work to get it to the way you want it :P

HybridChiller 01-09-2011 03:46 AM

but when it's finished, i makes the trouble wourth

DOM 01-09-2011 03:51 AM

untill you wanna upgrade it

but it looks very nice alot of work put into it :good:

HybridChiller 01-09-2011 03:52 AM

for a 24/7 rig, this will do i think lol

Neuromancer 01-09-2011 01:09 PM

1/4" fittings? For....

steponz 01-09-2011 01:12 PM

Likely another chilled loop? no?

Neuromancer 01-09-2011 01:17 PM

I was thinking a HDD cooler, but the HDDs are not located anywhere near there are they? (unless thats the only spot left for another pump lol)

HybridChiller 01-10-2011 04:47 AM

it for an extra bottom plate in the case, and under it, will come in the loop :

inline temp sensor,
flow sensor,
pump PMP-400 or PMP-450,
drain valve,
koolanc TMS-200 controller,

and maybe if i have enough place left (height of 4,1cm) i put also a thin fan in there that blows up to the GPU'S.

HybridChiller 01-11-2011 09:04 AM

the bottom is as good as finished,
just need to order a flat pump with top...
if a Koolanc PMP-400 pump with top is maximum 40mm heigh.
I can take the bottom out any time it's a tight fit and is on 2 alu plates, nice and steady.
The usb internal, sata and ECP connector on the mobo is nice clean now.

This is no metal plate but 4mm not shiny black acryl plate PMMA15

only needs to get connectors for the PciE powercables for the GPU's :

rickss69 01-11-2011 09:07 AM

Nearly any pump will do with the Boreas...I have seen little effect between pumps with the units. Same goes with the waterblock...stock vs aftermarket.

HybridChiller 01-11-2011 09:08 AM

under the bottom i have a space in height of 40mm, need a pump with a black acryl top on it, that fits under it

HybridChiller 01-12-2011 08:33 AM

after the drain valve needs also a exit for the liquid :

MaadDaawg 01-20-2011 11:39 AM

Very awesome, incredible, beautiful monster rig you built. Ricks right, I do want one of those Boreas units, but I could never make anything so clean and beautiful, your modding skills are very impressive!! Welcome to OCA :D
MD

HybridChiller 01-20-2011 11:56 PM

THANKS

HAHA freaking nice room. Is that a nurse call string hanging down the middle of the wall, rofl? Dang that is a monsta rig you have there. How much you think it weighs? Probably blow a hemi trying to pick it up, rofl.

HybridChiller 01-21-2011 05:47 AM

my setup that's almost running weights now without :

vga's
liquid
hdd around 32kg

steponz 01-21-2011 05:54 AM

Now you have to redo your room.. because your rig makes everything else look crappy...... lol.......

Looking good..

I have a modified boreas.. I watercool the hotside instead of using the stock fan side.. doesn't make that much of a difference... probably should put a bigger radiator on the hotside.. have a swifttech 240 on it..

HybridChiller 01-21-2011 05:57 AM

the faster the heat can go away from the peltiers the better they cool.

steponz 01-21-2011 06:11 AM

yep.. it works pretty well with water.. seems to hold load better... but its really hard to make an accurate comparison.. I switched it over a long time ago...

Witchdoctor 01-21-2011 06:41 AM

Nice hook up on the wall decorations HC

May need to look into your interior designer

Is it easy to keep clean .................

Can you link me up to where these boreas systems are coming from ....

would like to do some research on them but can't find shit on Google ........ :Dizzy:
