New rig is up and running. Some new parts with recycled 2600k and freshly baked Maximus Gene-z motherboard. I'll get some pictures up in a few min.
Rig is patiently standing by for Skylake to hit the market. |

Thanks ;)
Had a an outstanding day of gaming and overclocking today. Pushed and tested stability at 4.8Ghz on the 2600k and the clock is solid on air. From Star Citizen to Counter Strike Global Offensive to Battle Field 4, not a glitch. I'm pretty happy at 4.8Ghz for a 24/7 rig. Attachment 7493 Attachment 7494 Yippie!! :D |

Good bye Lian Li PC-A05NB, you've served me well. Now I will take your bits and use them in other projects.
May you rest in pieces. Attachment 7531 |
Some potential there for a custom job.

My lastest iteration of a 24/7 rig.
I present you Wall-E. She is getting a small upgrade today. Samsung 950 Pro M.2 as the OS drive. Benchmarks coming soon  http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps2p7ytwpg.jpg |
OS up and running. Only drivers installed. Quck and dirty benchmark of OS Drive and Game Storage Drive
Win 10 OS: 950 Pro M.2 NVMe 500gb http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psccpihkov.png Game Drive: x2 850 Pro Sata III 500gb Raid 0 http://i464.photobucket.com/albums/r...psbgujatke.png |
Wow, look at them numbers. Nice addition bro, howz the "snappyness" feel?
|
Snappy, wappy, tappy, pappy. Its fast in OS. Faster than ever but..... its all relative. The jump from HDD to SSD was HUGE. The jump from SSD Sata III to M.2 MVMe is slightly noticeable. Not really necessary but very, very nice :)
