Its hard for me to rate this stuff as two of the teams have access to all the hardware they could ever want or need, all they have to do is ask and they get what ever they need. I am not talking about for just this event, but for all the time leading up to this.

Where as our guys did what they did on there own accord, with no manufacture support what so ever.

So saying that they came in X place to me means nothing. They came in 1st place on everything imo and from what I hear showed the most porfessionalizm out of everyone.

Congratz Team OCA !!

I just want to know did someone really get caught trying to pocket a CPU during the event?

I didn't see it, but I was told that a bencher (not from OCA) was seen on camera pocketing one.:thumbdown:

Day 1 was limited to two platforms P55 and X58 running 06, vantage, 32m, wprime, and cpuz.

Day 2 was limited to same platforms and benches however you could use any other hardware you wanted including the Asus provide hardware.

Thanks for the update Planet.

Well I dont know much about competitions, aside from lack of ln2 and poor camera angles I thought it was pretty interesting.

Jor-El 04-12-2010 06:20 AM

^^ Thanks for clearing that out Planet, your post should be on Asus main page!

Thats the fun of competitions, completely unknown outcomes :) I see live comps as a fun sidenote to competitive benching. Since the skills of the overclockers are emphasized less and the luck of who gets the best chip is what takes a comp.

Great job to everyone involved! Were there any prizes? Did anyone get to take home a shiney new RIIIE? :D
