Well I have a home business building/repairing computers and selling hardware on ebay. So Ill still be around to keep up on new tech etc.

Ill still overclock but just for fun i think. Hwbot has seriously ruined the hobby for me. Just 3 years ago when I was starting out with serious OC'ing things were so different. It was about fun and friendly competition back then...

Yeah I share your views here, alot of great people still involved... but alot of great people left too for the same reasons (so many I cant even begin to list them all). And I honestly hope things get better, but with more manufacturer involvment the "scene" is just becoming a marketing playground.

I became an active poster here at OCA b/c I loved the attitude I saw here... helpful, humble, fun. Keep it that way guys!

Bummer Karma,

Just had a strong reminder yesterday of how rediculous a lot of this BS has become ...

Hope you hang around still bro ..... I hate to think of another class act leaving the sport ....

Best of luck to you and your family bro .............

Yah its harsh and dissappointing having a bunch of yahoo's that think because they work for or are supported by manufacturers, its cool to compete with average joe's hobbiest on a wide scale using special priveleges data sheets and nda mods.

Why do they overclock to begin with?
a) to compete with other overclockers?
b) to compete only with other manfufacturer overclockers?
c)to promote their companies brand?
d) for fun?

If they answered "a" then what kind of jackfruit uses such an imbalanced approach to competition?

If they answered "b" then what kinda jackfruit enters an arena dominated by average joe's, there is no "competition" there.

If they answered "c", well I aint buying your product cuz you suck.

If, they answered "d", good for you, keep your fun in your pants and out of competitions or contests.

I don't intend for this community to be turning into a bunch of secret squirrels pussies that have no intentions of helping each other.

You're no longer a hobbiest when your sucking the tit of the manufacturers, you're a marketing professional. Nobody, not anybody, was born with a wealth of knowledge, somebody else started them on their way, taught them, nurtured them, encouraged them, all with the intentions that they'd pass it along and not hoard the information. So to all those hobbiest turned TOOL, tsk tsk, to be light about it.

Anyways, this isn't the focus of Overclockaholics or the OC-Alliance. Our focus to bench what we brung and we quite enjoy the extra adversities ahead of us. One way or another we will succeed in our goals, thats who we are, thats what we do.

Goal#1 is having the time of our lives :)

SO lets get back on topic with bot mutilation

Guess a little break is in order heh Jaime? With your skills you could easily come back to it if you were so inclined. I guess it is like anything else in life which involves human beings, things can get hairy, but they always seem to turn around sooner or later. I try not to let the words of others get me or my team down. Best of luck bro in your future endeavors.
