Droppped this this morning. Its porr but i'm desperate. lol Having problems with my clocks resetting on the gpu after this run. For some reason it would clock back to lower than stock. IDK but i just reflashed the bios on it and i'm going to reinstall the drivers when i get it back up.. 35 liters later. wtf. I have to say Vantage is a fucker on these cards.

I miss ROG connect, but this Gigabyte board has promise. Has some nice BIOS features except I don't like all the menu hopping around.

I've never been able to complete 3dm06 CPU tests at 5 G's on SS phase, much less after just 1/2 hour of overclocking the board. Don't want to get my hopes up too high......

CPU was killing me through GT2 and 3..

Chip is dead.... gpu is artifacting in 3d.. just need to heat up.....

Much better this time. I got rid of the mem volt mod and things are working much smoother. Thanks for the tips Romulan, you're the best!!!

UD9's kind of a PITA under LN2. Or I'm missing something - wouldn't be the first time. Tolerates cold fine, but OVP looks like it kicks in booting into windows even with the special settings in the GOOC bios. Have to boot in at 1.54v and use software from there...

Often, you put in a lot of effort, money, time and LN2 and come up with nuttin.

35L of LN2 down the drain......

I hadn't done the CBB mod on one card and it took 45 minutes till I figured out WTF was the problem with booting back into windows....

Clocks and Heaven were doing fine for a while, but I was just shy of 4K - which is crapola for 4 X 580 under LN2. Then I remember I still have NVIDIA 3D settings optimized for single display :blush:. So I fix that, reboot, and don't get any better score. And apparently the file was screwy, so I couldn't even submit - said the bench wasn't completed or some such garbage. Then condensation sets in and it's game over....:Hi: (At least I hope it's condensation....)

Think I'll take a break from this project, bench some single card, get ready for MOA, then revisit in a few weeks with CPU under phase and the cards all on water to work out the kinks.....

w00t fail session, new 980x is struggle to run 5.8cpu test vantage. card was flying at 1230/1100 but score was 38.5k? using latest drivers....maybe its wants more volts gt2 was way low

it was throttling...?

Having issues getting past a stable 5.3Ghz on the Tpower/e8500 on DICE. Not sure whats up. Maybe ram is limiting higher clocks? Anyway, here are my 2D results from yesterdays session.

Just the opposite. I was flying through the graphics test at over 6ghz 1.72 vcore and down clocking when i got to the cpu test to 5.8 and passing no prob. But this card can't do 1200mhz in gt1 or gt2. Shit scores and fail session today. Aqua3 was total crap and by the time i got to ungine i was bsoding at boot up speed of 5750. Tore it down and drying out.

highest i passed vantage was 1.75v 5.5ghz :/

but i dont have rogconnect to up the clocks for 3d then lower it for cpu test

i can boot in w7 @6ghz but xp has to be 5.75ghz or it bsod even if its not cold enough it would in xp

but need to do new installls and mod the hd 4850 :D

I feel your pain Splig ... my card was smokin through vantage @ 1250, but I only managed a 39385 ... good result, but not as good as it should be.

I made it to the end of gt2 twice at 1275 but its tripping shutdown.

Im convinced this xpower is crappy for 3d, my r3e would have been near 40k at those clocks.

Tpower i45/e8500 + Vaseline has totally kicked my ass. Ugh. Can't clock it like I wanna.....

Think I killed a stick of DDR2 pushing it. Kingston HyperX RIP.

CPU and Board are doing fine, just not clocking like I want it too. Gonna try the Commando/e8500/Ballistic's in a few days. We'll see what happens.

This is my first time overclocking DDR2 and I think I've made a grave mistake. 4-4-4-12 @ 2.5v may have been too much for the Kingstons, only lasted a for a few benches. I've learned my lesson although I know its gonna cost me. Need to get some better DDR2.
