Mine will not accept vcore over 1.54 volts...refuses to boot even cold. 5.3GHz is the highest I have managed.

whats wrong with 1.54v and above? just disable cpu vcore monitoring..

DrNip 01-31-2011 07:17 AM

Strange, mine isn't disabled. That does make since for ya'll having problems though.

5.5ghz was really quite simple. All I did was disable the usual CPU downclocking settings in the BIOS and set vcore manually in BIOS or excuse me EUFI. That was it. No other volt settings touched. Of course I only have two other volt settings in EUFI well three if you count RAM, ROFL.

it could be their llc was overvolting and hitting the ovp(warning)...

DrNip 01-31-2011 07:58 AM

Over volting that far? That would have to be a pretty heavy over volt or else the over volt protection isn't that high on SB's. Can't call it on this one.

Hondacity 01-31-2011 08:00 AM

ovp warning...

its a warning

DrNip 01-31-2011 08:13 AM

I know it is a warning. I just can't imagine it overvolting that far is all. I don't know what it would be related to. Overvolting, BIOS or chip related I dunno.
