i just revived my "new" toy... it's new in my house =) Abit NF7-S V2.0
now my Project A is finally completed and i just have to find time to bench the hell outta of it =) i just tested out the baord and everything works... the nb is got a giant heatsink with out fan on it and there is like a mini heatsink on the sb too... but what is that chip has the sticker saying NF7-S? anyone got any ideas? seem like the dude before me bench the shit outta of it cuz i see all that heatsink mark and everything.... but the board was not been used for a few years now from what i can tell at least cuz there is like spider webs on it other than that should be fun to watch i am working on my finals right now but as soon as that's done i monna be benching like there is no tomorrow again lol ---0---CPU------- AMD AD900AMT33 ---1---CPU------- AMD AX1700DMT3C ---2---CPU------- AMD AX1800DMT3C ---3---CPU------- AMD AX1900DMT3C ---4---CPU------- AMD AXDA2600DKV3C ---5---CPU------- AMD AXDA2600DKV3D ---6---CPU------- AMD AXDA3000DKV4D ---7---CPU------- AMD AXDA3000DKV4E ---8---CPU------- AMD AXDC3100KV3E -------RAM------- Corsair CMX512-3200LLPT XMS3205v1.2 [BH-5] -------MOB------- Abit NF7-S V2.0 ($35 Shipped) -------VGA------- PNY FX-5200 PCI |

and solder too. what kind of solder should i use on the board?
i hav ethe silver bearing solder and the type r? |

it looked bad today at work tho.. it was like nasty water white cuz i wash my mands alot at work and i went around and showed people that was kinda fun but i am thinking about really modding the baord like this up comming thr or something so gl on that and gl on the finals too lol 6 classes and i have a 90.54 and a 99 so .... we'll see =) |
mod it
OCM  |
90.54 is weak sauce.
Get that grade up and then get to moddin :) |
lol 90.54 is an A
butta yeah in my school 90.50~100 is 4.0GPA rofl! but yeah you are right i got few more classes need to study for then overclocking NON STOP! |
there are two mods for the commando...vdroop and vcore mod...
for solder i prefer the 63/37 stuff..its got lead..but it melts at lower temps.... most of the solder that is used on boards are the lead free solder...so you'll need a slightly hotter iron.... there are lots of videos out there..i think drnip has a thread on soldering with lots of videos... |

i just looked around.. and the closest i can find was 62/36/2 will that be fine? cuz the next thing i have are the 60/40 and Type R MIL-F-14256F what ever that is and i just got my first 970 in the houes! there should be few more.. but i may get turn down idk yet... Core i7 970 B1 Batch code is 3012B113 the heatsink is HUGE! taking my system down right now gonna bench the hell outta the 920 first tho.. =) |

turn off HT you dont need it for 2d besides wprime ;)
also did you put it in slowmode ? |
why is everytime when i run wprime it bsods?
like EVERYTIME! no matter what setting! have not tried stock yet but even with my ultimate 24/7 stable setting it still bsods! and also it shows up as Pentium III Xeon! WTF! |
Moar VTT?
What BSOD are you getting? |
bsod on wprime....its too hot if you're on air...and 1.6v vcore
|
Quote:
Yes, that is a lot. |
Quote:
it's not showing me a code it just bsods and then restarts.... Quote:
i was just wondering.... i'll be benching in about 2hrs.. |
other benches? try vantage with that same settings.
anyways 1.6v on air is torture ...you'll degrade your cpu. |
Quote:
idk why but vantage just will not start i think i fed up the install.... and also the bsod happens right after i start wprime 1024 and code is 0x00009C the temp seems ok not the greatest temp but it's around 70~80c |
dice it alreadyyyy :D
