i dont use chipset drivers lol ill try installing am again but it just did it after i swithed cards even tryed another bios

you need to install chipset drivers..they optimized os to motherboard signalling...

As HC said... chipset drivers are a must.

They help for wprime, apart from that I've never really noticed a difference.

I always install the chipset drivers and the video. I know the opinions are split about the video drivers but at least for SPI runs I'm always slower without the video driver installed.

7x32 .... for 5xxx cards I only use xp for 01, and rarely 06 will be a little better.

I really need to install a copy of 7x64 for am3, just lazy.

Actually. Chipset drivers didn't help that much for me, video drivers made a big difference to wprime, but thats about it.

My premium arrived over the weekend too.

Finished up the GTS 640mb today, its about time to pack everything up and go to Phoenix, which means no benching for a while... been trying to make a decent push before that happened.

Ill try to get one more a0 session in for 2d, it wprimed today @ 6ghz and I think it has some left in it. Then Im out of the game for maybe a month.

I V modded the gpu on my HD4870 and put it on LN2 finally. Took me about 10 liters tonight to get this silver in 05. Sorry Patcho bro. More coming in the nexr few days on this litte giant. Now that i have a decent cpu i can start t do up these old cards i have. Gt a 8800GTX a Gigabyte 4850 and a 8800gts640 to do after this one is done. I've done them all before but not under a 980x and ln2.

Does the rampage cap at 5ghz uncore? any time it even fluctuated to 5.000ghz it froze automatically.
Will try my other chip, best I could do with this one. Could have ran ram faster I suppose but oh well

yep, win7 x64 for the win and those drivers are very efficient. Only tweak was naming it 3dmark 03.exe no LOD etc as I couldnt get riva to work on x64 :D

This cpu is not the wprime 6.1 cpu. And yes I think this is all this one had in it. CB went from -150c the first 2 sessions I had with it to -125c. Time to rma it maybe or sell it as pretty decent
