NICE WORK :clapping:
|
thanks DOM
|
Yeah, you have one heck of a project there! Keep it up and I'm sure it will be finished soon.
|
Very awesome work HybridChiller! I'm not a huge fan of Thermaltake (cases & cooling especially), but you have it looking pretty sweet. I love case modding. How much longer do you have to go?
|
when i have vga and hdd it's running, then overclocking it, test the cooling,
and start benching it lol |
small update, got at last the snake connector in, so the 3th pump can be fitted and the loop closed,
ready to fill it up. left of the pump you see all kind of cables , that's for the Koolanc TMS-200 controller, all kinds of temp sensors all around the mobo and cpu's. http://i54.tinypic.com/4toa69.jpg |
i'd though you have a bigger pump than that!
|
i have 3 pumps in this loop, so it will be enough i think to keep the flow good.
And this pump is not visible when the bodem plate is put in. |
i'm going to fill up the loop now the 3th pump is installed, own mixture : 25% Ethylene Glycol and 75% PURE water, no demi.
what you see in the measure cup is the Glycol no color pure 100% glycol : http://i55.tinypic.com/54zmth.jpg here my koolanc poor in cup on the ZERN res with a snake connector to make it a little bit eassier to fill : http://i51.tinypic.com/5mwk82.jpg on the drain valve i putted also a tube in a bus filled with my mixture, where the pump can draw it's liquid from when i put the valve open, to make it a little bit eassier to lol : http://i52.tinypic.com/35d8gw9.jpg http://i54.tinypic.com/2zgheld.jpg and here comes the first liquid lol, pumps are now running to get the last micro bubbles out the loop, for now, no leaks found : http://i55.tinypic.com/2r4n18p.jpg |
Nice :) how much liquid did it take
|
around 2 liters.
it's still running the pumps, to get every air bubble out of the loop lol. And to see if there shows up any leak |
Wow, epic build!
An observation: http://i52.tinypic.com/35d8gw9.jpg That pump is asking for an EK v2 pump top :D |
is that a nice pump top ? i don't know that one
|
It sure is and would look very sexy in your build if you have the space and proper routing.

i got one of those petras tech shop tops when they first came out for that pump.... its just there after i killed the pump never got another pump cuz i got two 655
|
|
Never mind on the pump top suggestion, just noticed that you need a low profile pump to fit under the cover. Nice video man.
|
lol, thanks
|
It's a miracle !!!!
i get it closed hahahahaha, +200m cable in limited room of 3,5cm lol : http://i55.tinypic.com/avhdmp.jpg here you see that the plate is a little round, but i put the cable fast fast in to look if i get it closed, later on the cable will be nice routed and strapped so that the plate doesn't look round : http://i55.tinypic.com/2pr8pz9.jpg |
last minute adjustment for the vga's :

hehe, clever :)
|
|
look at hwbot of new scores i submitted. lol.
And still getting higher and higher ;) |
keep rolling! nice t4mps
|
don't get it booted at 200 Bclock GGrrrrr.......
Signal tweaks pppffff. try another version of bios. now i have 50, will try 47 to. Temp can normal be better because there is a fan dead on the boreas chiller lol, doesn't turn anymore, will check it tomorrow and put a new one on it if needed. find it a little bit to nlow the flow, maybe add another Liang pump to the loop and remove the two coolit pumps. |
hahahaha, 200 Bclock at last, 10min fidling :clapping:
but damn just the stupid update config when it boots pppfffff http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1711393 200 Bclock, 2002 Mhz mem, 4004Mhz Uncore, just the way i like it |
I have to ask...why so many pumps? Are you running separate loops?
|
with 2 cpu block and mobo block, and a long loop with the coolit coolers,
i loose some flow. that's why i whant to use more then one pump, i had the same probem with the gulftown setup with 1 pump. i quit for today with playing around, new scores are on hwbot. 202 Bclock 1030mem 4040uncore. |
I see. Have you considered separate loops?
|
separate loops ?
cpu and other loop mobo ? |
Yea. I'd put the cpus on different loops. Hell if ya have 3 pump then why not separate loops for each cpu and the mobo. Hmmm that would require more radiators though.
|

cpu 4200 22*191 , mem 1950Mhz uncore 3940 first i had 4000Mhz cpu 20*200 , mem 2000, uncore 4000 think i will keep the 4200Mhz, nice 24/7 Oc. |
do the xeons overclock better on odd numbers too like bloomfield? maybe give it a shot. 4.2 x 16 is pretty sick though lol!
|
stock without turbo is multi 20, with turbo is multi 22, single tread multi 23.
i will try if i get 200x21 or so. don't know if they have the same tweak with unpare multi like gulfy. |
here an update of my temps with OC :
http://i56.tinypic.com/2ez19wi.jpg |
little playing around with this setup :
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1717611 4.4Ghz , 2000Mhz mem, uncore 4000 |
nice :)
|
hope someday to have the money for X5690's in this rig.
More power, better to OC with higher multiplier. |
sell a kiddny
so this mb doesnt like high blck ? |
when i look at hwbot, not really, and i notice that i have to put to much Vcore, vtt, IOH to get past 200Bclock to get it stable, also needed to use Signal tweaking past 175 Bclock.
It's still a 5520 server chipset, for high OC you really need better cpu with good multiplier, not like me now 20stock, turbo 22 multiplier. Like 5680 or 5690 higher multiplier, so better to play with and OC. |
